This is an unpopular opinion lol, but the 1st Paranormal Activity. The fact there werent a whole host of characters, we never saw the ghost and the ending scared the hell out of me. It was very effective. The rest of the series is terrible. Another would be Insidious. The musical score for this was phenomenal. It made you feel uneasy even before we knew what was happening to Dalton. More on reddit.com

I really enjoyed it. Nothing groundbreaking but definitely a worthwhile watch, especially for those of us who enjoy paranormal horror. The ending definitely surprised/shook me. More on reddit.com
