February 17, 2024 - I have the 55 inch version and really like it. A friend got the 65inch version and he likes it as well. I use mine for daily viewing and actually prefer it to my 65inch tcl 6 series in the basement. I will be replacing the 65inch tcl with a 65 or 75 u8 hisense. And being bought at costco, can never go wrong with their warranty.

Any recommendations for mid-to-upper range TV recommendations at Costco? Looking to replace my current Samsung TV.

Sony: A80K, A80L, X90L, X90K Samsung: S95B, S95C, QN90B, QN95C LG: C2, C3, B2 It all depends on your budget, room condition (any direct glare or sunlight on screen or not), usage(upscaling, sports important or not) etc. Sony A80 models, LG, are WOLED and Samsung models (at 55") are QD-OLED. QD-OLED is brighter, and has better color volume. Samsung lacks Dolby Vision though. Between Sony and LG, Sony is overall better for movies and sports, while LG is better for hardcore gamers. This time of the year, you may not find all these models as they are a mix of 2022 and 2023 models. Availability of 2022 models depends on where you live. Rtings and HDTVTEST are two good review sites/channels. For rtings, go through the whole review and ignore the scores.

Hey everyone, I’m looking to buy a new tv and wondering if anyone has any suggestions?

Budget is around $1300 at most and happy to spend less lol. Either 55 or 65 inch.

I have been eyeing the Sony X90L and the Hisense u88n.

Any feedback on tvs you are happy with please let me know!

EDIT: coming from a big chunky 2008 Toshiba so anything will be an upgrade. Planning on getting the 4 year warranty to.

Edit 2: after reading these comments budget is going up to 2k for OLED

Edit 3: pulled the trigger on a LG C4 55 inch on sale for 1397$

You definitely want to invest in panel quality over size. What good is a big tv if it looks like shit? key question: does where your tv sits get a lot of direct sunlight?

Sony stopped making their own panels years ago. Go for Samsung or LG. Hisense has come a long way in a short time as well.

Got this as an open box deal for $200 and I’m wowed. Model is only offered at Costco but it supports everything the series X looks for including 4k/120. A few years ago when I was shopping these specs would have been $800+ even on a brand like TCL so I am very impressed. It also has a lot of gaming specific features. I just feel this is too good of a deal to pass up for Costco members, there is also a 65 inch model, and it includes a 5 year warranty (3 year extension to the manufacturer’s 2 year warranty courtesy of Costco).

You could always pay more for a name brand OLED but for my gaming room this already feels like overkill. Has VRR, a specific low latency mode, aiming help features (which leave a reticle in the center of the screen) and more. I just can’t believe how cheap it is, especially if you find a returned model like I did.

I just came here to say TCL is the best budget TV brand I’ve encountered. I have 2 in my house the 55 inch qled that does 4k/60 and 1440/120. I got a crazy deal and paid all of $230 for it on a price match from Best Buy last year. It obviously can’t compete with the likes of a LG OLED but those are still very expensive but the value is undeniable. I’ve issues with Vizio in the past but never one with a TCL.
