If that's a Lenovo, you'd need an adapter like this . It's a different pin size, it might not work by just putting the header on the rightmode side of the port, leaving 2 pins empty.

I'm not sure how to explain it but the pictures should do a better job, I'm not sure how get this red wire back into the 9 pin female plastic casing without breaking the casing? I've tried opening the black plastic casing but I can't seem to do so and it seems that I would have to break the casing, get a new casing, and rewire the whole damn thing? If it's not worth my hassle then what do I search up to get a replacement? I can't seem to find it when searching it up? Is it called : 9 pin female to 12 pin female front panel connector? MB. It's actually 10 pin with one hole closed soit can fit only one way, Two rows with same color coding. 9th one (5th in one row) is not used some times not even with a wire or contact in it. Do you see small plastic tabs on it ? Those can be partially lifted with a needle which would let you pull contact out. There few ways to replace it. One is to get a blank connector prepare all 8 wires by stripping insulation about 1-2mm and pinch each one in a connector from whole plug, Wires are typically very thin so soldering is not recommended, If you look at each contact you will see a small metal tab on an up angle, that side goes to same side as plastic tabs on the housing and that keeps it in. Other method is to get a same connector with wires already attached, so called Pigtail and solder and isolate to existing wires taking care of their order.
