YouTube is a Google property. You'll need a Google account to create a channel. That doesn't mean you'll need a Google address, however. Just like a Microsoft account, the address can be any legitimate address. You can use your Microsoft address to create a Google account. Just remember that it's not a Microsoft account on Google. It's a Google account whose username just happens to match the Microsoft address. Don't use the same password on Google that you use for your Microsoft account.
