I don’t think those are really the best tools for doing that. I’d recommend using Azgaar’s Fantasy Map Generator . You can’t get isometric maps but it produces great results and is VERY customizable. More on reddit.com

azgaar's is probably the best mapping software out there, you can press a button and get basically everything. cities, roads, rivers, points of interest, army encampments, terrain. you can use it to generate a landmass to do what you want with, or you can make a smaller island for when your players veer off the edge of the map or roll a naval encounter you hadn't prepped. it integrates with watabou's city generator too. really good program, absolutely loads of fun too More on reddit.com

Actually yes, they just call themselves map generators instead of AI anything. Man limited resources is the WORST reason to poke into a methodology in it's infancy. Google maps! Search reddit for maps! There's a whole subreddit for maps. https://donjon.bin.sh/fantasy/town/ r/fantasymaps NPC, name, dungeon, and city generators have been around for 20 years! This is why people hate AI. The more you know to use a search engine, the more you know that it's a parlor trick. More on reddit.com

If so...I'd love to see your prompt(s) if you're willing to share.
I've been trying to so an isometric world map or even a single continent/country with borders for nations/countries, but have been unsuccessful.
Any help would be appreciated, but I do own Campaign Cartographer but am always overwhelmed when trying to start out.

Current AI models can't do maps that aren't shit. Just use a regular generator like Azgaar's.
