Apple's price for a replacement Airpod Pros case is $99+tax, which is very close to the price of just getting a whole set of lightly used Airpod Pros (currently, around $110-130 in the US). So paying over $100 for just the case doesn't make any sense, in my opinion. I would recommend just looking on eBay for a lightly used replacement Airpod Pros case; you can find ones from sellers with good feedback for around $50-60. eBay has a 30-day money back guarantee that covers buyers if what you receive doesn't match what was advertised. I've been buying and selling on eBay for almost 15 years and it's a far more reputable site than it gets credit for.

This happened almost a year and a half ago but I’ve been fully checked out and haven’t had the mental energy to deal with this.
So a while ago I was biking while listening to my airpod pros and the case fell out of my pocket. I was devastated because I had just got them and I rarely lose anything. I didn’t get them at the Apple Store so they told me I’d have to get a whole new pair which made me incredibly angry. Why can’t I simply just buy another charging case like the first generation? I called the apple customer service line TWICE, which led me absolutely nowhere, right back to the Apple Store where they told me I had to buy another one.
Can someone PLEASE tell me if there’s a way to get a new case or if I’m stuck with airpod pros that are absolutely useless?

You can absolutely buy a new case through Apple. You have to go through the Genius Bar. They can replace a single missing component. Other option is to go to https://getsupport.apple.com , select your AirPods and choose “Missing AirPods” then “Replace lost AirPods case” You need the serial number either way.

I think there’s a way to buy a separate case directly from Apple. Contact them. Check eBay or the used market in your country. The serial number from the AirPods and the case are different anyway, so a new case should work with any type of AirPods Pro. You could also buy some fake AirPods Pro’s and the case should work with your AirPods as well, but I don’t recommend it because the original case has some chips inside used for tracking and some other things. I found some cases at eBay Germany for about 70€ (about $75 US). If you want for some weird reason to buy some new AirPods (because let’s say your actual ones don’t work any more or whatever), I suggest you waiting until the end of September when Apple launches the new AirPods Pro 2nd gen.

Hi all. My dumbass lost the case while at uni today. I’ve still got the actual AirPods, it’s just the case. I’ve told student services and they’ve sent an email out so I’m hoping they’ll turn up, but if in a week they don’t, I’m going to have to bite the bullet and buy a new case. Where is a reputable place to get one? I don’t have the serial number or anything as I don’t have the box as that’s at home and I’m trying to not tell my mum about losing them 🤣🤣 thanks (I’m from UK if that makes a difference)

You could order a new one direct from Apple. You have to go through Support but they do have an option to replace a lost case. The serial number can be found in your Bluetooth settings, just tap on the “i” next to your AirPods even if they’re not connected.
