Can't login with Ally Auto Bank
What is the catch with Ally's 2% APY savings account? : personalfinance
Ally Bank well worth to have?
Thoughts on Ally savings?
I've been with Ally for more than a decade. No complaints at all.
The buckets feature is great. App is good. I've never waited on hold more than 2 minutes when calling customer service. Honestly, they have been great.
On the savings rate, everyone has terrible rates right now. In "normal" times the ally savings rate was above average, I'd expect that to return.
I do not think you want a money market account. Those come with a lot of restrictions and you generally need to maintain a high balance. I think you should just do a savings and a checking account. Even if you generally don't keep much in checking, you can instantly transfer between checking and savings to write checks or withdraw cash when needed.

When I use the app, it says "Wrong app, head over to the ally moblie app to login," but I'm in the Ally mobile app.
Logging in online won't work - they use 2-factor autentication but I never get the code on my phone. No option to send to email
Customer service takes too long to answer - It took 30 minutes to get ahold of someone
When I was able to log in on the app (after several tries) - I chatted with the rep but it took about 30 minutes for him to respond
When I asked him to change the number for the 2-factor authentication, he did. But when I log in online, it's still saying that it is sending the code to the old number.
Why is it so hard to work with this bank?
Edit:
I finally talked to a rep. The company is trying to merge banking and auto so a lot of people are getting affected.
