It you are an Amazon Prime member, and pay for prime, and you do not intend to cancel your prime account any time soon. The Amazon Prime Credit card is an absolute no brainer, it's essentially a no annual fee card that earns 5% back on Amazon.

I didn’t have a credit card for decades. Then I got the Apple Card and a few months later the Prime Rewards. After acquiring my first non-cobranded Chase card I started using the Apple Card for only Apple related purchases where there’s a 3x cash return. Same with the Prime card. It’s 5x on every purchase I make on Amazon. Each is set up as the primary card for their brand and neither sits in my wallet. I think they’re both great cards if used that way. No annual fee and sometimes the Prime gets a small SUB. I like that I can send my daughter or another iPhone user the Apple Cash I earn as cash back. Like Venmo but SO much better. I like that I recently bought $100 worth of stuff from Amazon using only my cash rewards. That’s my experience anyway.

No catch except you have to be paying for Prime to avail the 5% iirc. I have my parents use my amazon acc and prime card and they zelle me the money to pay off what they buy :)
