So I have a call with an Amazon recruiter on Monday for a Security Engineer Incident Response team and then got an Amazon recruiter in my LinkedIn asking if I would be interested in another Amazon position, Security Engineering but Threat Detection (both align with my experience and current position).
I have just heard negative stuff about working at Amazon, heard the interviews are pretty brutal, etc.
Anyone with experience interviewing there for similar positions or held/hold positions there?

I made it to the final round of interviews for a Security Engineer position at Amazon years ago before they told me no. And I’m glad they did. I heard negative stuff like you.

I saw several openings that I feel I am a great fit for. I noticed the location is listed as Austin, TX and I’m about 2 hours away. Is the expectation for this role to be in office, hybrid , remote or does it vary?
I marked as unwilling to relocate because my family is settled in the schools and our community but I’m hoping there is some flexibility among the cybersecurity related roles as there are several im interested in.
Anyone have insight into this?
