Anyone here have actual long-term experience with those highly rated cheap gaming headsets they sell on Amazon? You know, the ones with weird brand names that sound like they came from a random brand name generator (Bengoo, Sades, Beexcellent, Supsoo) and have hundreds of 5 star reviews?

I have a friend who's worked directly with Chinese manufacturers who pay people for fake reviews and many of the reviews on those headsets seem fake to me (i looked at several reviewers' profiles and they usually just had that review).

I know it's typically best to consider the 3-4 star reviews but I was wondering if any of you had firsthand experience with these well-reviewed cheap Amazon headsets.

My budget is very limited right now ($25 to spend) so I'm wondering if I'm better off just getting skullcandy earbuds with a mic. (I own a pair of decent Klipsch earbuds with a mic but they're made for iPhone so the mic is useless)
