I now have two Lodge USA Enamels. First was a 7.5 qt in red, which we bought for some sourdough loaves and cooking dinners and sauces. Got that around Christmas. Then we picked up a 3 qt in blue for bread, about 3 weeks ago. We have used them a lot. Even the 7.5, which is what justified the 3. We have an induction cook top, if that matters to you. For stove top cooking, definitely took a bit to learn temp control, including after taking it off the stove. I'm very happy with both. These are my first enameled, but it wanted something not made in China. Feels like a good middle ground on cost and consumer consciousness. Cleans easily. Look very nice in the China cabinet. I did look at LeCrusets in the local outlet. I wasn't impressed for the price. Or, perhaps, I was shocked by the price. More on reddit.com

Honestly at 4.7 stars and $41 hard to go wrong. I'd be a little worried about the quality of the enamel at that pricepoint but when you can buy two in case one's a dud at said pricepoint... More on reddit.com

Hey everyone,
I know LC/staub is the ultimate choice, but I just can't justify like $500 dollars after tax for a 6qt pot. So I'm looking at a ~$250 range as a best bang for buck.
I've found the Lodge USA Enamel and Made In dutch ovens as two pretty promising options. But the problem is, I can't seem to find any real reviews on these! Does anybody have any experience or insight with either these?
The lodge USA enamel has a sale for another 2 days, but again, no real reports or reviews! At this point the Made In looks more reputable. But I think both would work great if you don't abuse the thing.

I own a LeCrueset dutch oven (5.5qt) , a lodge enamel dutch oven 3qt, and a few non-enameled pans by MadeIn. The LeC is very nice and a joy to use. I use the Lodge more often though (due to the size). Have used it regularly for a decade. The lodge is heavier for its size and just seems chunkier and less elegant than the LeC but it still does the job and does it well. The pans I have by MadeIn are very high quality, no complaints at all. That said I haven't tried their ECI.
