November 5, 2020 - But it's amazon.. Is it worth being offended by? Eh. Who reads those things anyways? ... Lumberyard project is game engine. It shouldn’t be used in medical software, except… ... I get it - like I said, companies will try to cover everything they can, realistic, legal, or likely, in their terms and conditions.

August 7, 2021 - After all, who reads the terms of service anyways? ... I always assumed they were copy pasted but yeah I bet companies have strict policies about the TOS. rip whoever writes it. ... Orrrrr Amazon is behind something. Or what you said. ... Oh, this has been brought up many times before. They know about it. No telling who’s idea it was originally, but clearly this is the approved version. ... The idea of people being bored and just putting random stuff isn't uncommon.

October 12, 2021 - I'm guessing that it's also compatible with VR and speech recognition, which makes it a good free development engine. If the engine malfunctions, a lawyer could try to pin liability on Amazon. This clause means that Amazon is saying that "it's not rated for those purposes, use a different engine". The zombie part looks like a fun, hidden joke that allows the software to be used in event of a zombie apocalypse as zombies jokes go back pretty far in gaming.

Amazon Hides a Zombie-Outbreak Reference in New Terms of Service. Hilarious.
February 11, 2016 - Charming as it is, clauses like this one don’t actually encourage us to read the terms of service. Instead they mostly work to make a joke of our failure to do so. A few publications that have reported on the zombie clause have taken the story as an opportunity to point out other, less sexy, details from the document. Ars Technica’s Kyle Orland, for example, notes that the engine collects information about where, how, and when it gets put to work.
