The analytics are better than Apple's in a couple spots but still nothing special. I'd love to be able to see all episodes downloaded for a given day instead of just the top 3 and it'd be great if I didn't have to make a second account for my other podcast but other than that, it's fine. I don't see much talk about the Spotify for Podcasters platform (https://podcasters.spotify.com/), which seems to be completely free and unlimited for hosting along with other features.
Any thoughts on the pros / cons or issues or anyone having good experience (or bad) on this platform?

I use it for the distribution aspect but don’t utilize any of the editing tools - I use Adobe Premiere Pro. I don’t have experience with any other hosting platforms but in terms of being user-friendly, I find it efficient. I do have ads but even with an audience of around 3,000, my ad revenue is $150 or less per month. I haven’t explored other options just yet.

I did a podcast w my friends in hs that was surprisingly easy to monetize posted theough anchor. Since then anchor has been bought by spotify and turned into Spotify for Podcasters, and im worried it won’t be as good anymore. For anyone who was paying attention during the switch, is Spotify for podcasters just as good as anchor or are other alternatives now better to post through?

Spotify for podcasters is decent. Support is easy to reach and motivation is simple to setup (even better than through Megaphone to be honest, which is their enterprise offering. Spotify Audience Network is taking quite some time to approve shows). Take a look at Speaker if your are looking for a similar ease of use platform that helps you monitize but not prefer it to be locked with Spotify (however I think it'll fit your needs quite well still)

I used Spotify for Podcasters after the switch and found it still works well, but you might want to explore other options too. If you're into newsletters and want to build an audience while monetizing your content, beehiiv is a solid platform. Diversifying can never hurt!
