What’s the most optimal wattage for a charger for an iPhone 16 Pro? I’ve heard 45W is the max, but is that really the best? I’d be using some high quality 240w Anker cables. Is there really an appreciable difference in charging speed between a 20w and a 45w?
Good day, USB-C community! I have been purchasing used Apple USB-C charging bricks under the notion that they are of a MUCH higher quality than typical third-party chargers (including folks like Anker and Aukey). I have two of the Apple 96w chargers and they seem to work just fine... and I picked them up for a song. I have a colleague that thinks that's the Apple chargers are nothing special and that I'd be much better off purchasing one of the higher-end Anker charging bricks that have multiple ports.
What say you, community?
I just have not had luck with Apple chargers. They last me two or three months, before they die. I thought maybe it was my bad luck or whatever, but I’ve read bad reviews on Apple chargers not lasting long. Anyway, I got an Anker one. Somebody told me because it’s not an Apple charger, to not let it charge my phone up to 100%. I never heard this before. Is this a thing…? Should I not let my phone be charged up to 100% with a non-Apple charger…?
