What you'll be missing though from Apple chargers is any PPS at all, since none of Apple's products support PPS, even their smaller phone-centric chargers (20W, 35W Dual) don't support PPS, so there may be situations with your Samsung and Google Pixel phone where they won't charge as efficiently from the Apple chargers. Good day, USB-C community! I have been purchasing used Apple USB-C charging bricks under the notion that they are of a MUCH higher quality than typical third-party chargers (including folks like Anker and Aukey). I have two of the Apple 96w chargers and they seem to work just fine... and I picked them up for a song. I have a colleague that thinks that's the Apple chargers are nothing special and that I'd be much better off purchasing one of the higher-end Anker charging bricks that have multiple ports.

I'd say nothing special but less of a worry of one burning your house down. That being said, I tend to go w/ Anker as they are smaller, reliable, and have more ports. I'm not an expert, this is just my experience.

Hello,
I am looking for a 5W USB-C charging block to best charge my iPhone overnight (and minimize heat production). I’m not sure if it’s just me but I don’t see a 5W output charger block on Amazon, unless I am being dumb and I actually need to calculate the output wattage, which is different from the stated “face value” wattage? Not sure which is the case.
Anyhow, if anyone sees/knows a 5W USB-C charger block on Amazon, I’d appreciate if you could tell me the name of it or link it. Thank you!

Is a USB-A charger and USB-A to USB-C cable not an option? I really wouldn’t worry about it anyway. The part of charging that’s bad for your battery is the heat generated to “push” past 80 through 100, so the iPhone automatically switches to 5 watts for that last bit.

Just use a fast charger. The phone will regulate itself just fine. In 2-3 years just replace the battery if you lose a lot of capacity. Use it as it was intended!
