Are apple wired earpods worth it?
Apple EarPods are highly underrated
I actually hated EarPods in my ear. Couldn’t stand them, sorta pushed me away from AirPods as well... then I tried them. The wire makes them feel so uncomfortable in my ears.

The wireless aspect and the seamless integration with my iPhone is worth the $160US. The most important feature for me is making phone calls. No one I'm talking to can tell I am wireless. Audio quality is superb. And I can walk around during phone calls without being tethered to a phone.

i was thinking about getting the airpods pro 2 but then i found that apple is gonna release the pro 3 this year and i wanna save for those and wanted to know are wired earpods worth it when i can buy bluetooth earphones from another company for the same price?? (also if i decide should i buy lightning cable or usb c? my phone is lightning cable and macbook is usb c)
I've gone through many pairs of earbuds. I've tried some respected third party brands, but I continue to revert back to Apple's stock EarPods. I can't find an earbud as comfortable as Apple's that also stays in my ear and has very decent sound quality. I think the sound quality is the most underrated part of their earbuds. The wired EarPods sound so much better than the wireless headphones I've been prototyping in the $100-$150 range. I'll gladly pay $30 for an earphone that sounds better, fits, and is comfortable. The tricky part is making sure they don't break.
This alone has made me want to go to the AirPods, as they are the same shape, same sound quality, and also stay in your ear. I'll have to save up for them, as they are expensive, but at this point, they seem worth it.

They’re only underrated outside the audiophile community.

“The frequency response of the Apple 'buds is clearly flatter from 300Hz to 10kHz than any of the other 'buds, and if you ignore the lack of bass extension, they measure quite well, and not just for an ear-bud. They measure fairly well against ALL headphones. I'd put their sound in the "good for $79" ... as long as you ignore the bass problems.”
“The problems isn't that the iPod ear-buds suck, it's that pretty much all ear-buds suck.”
