I’m going to buy the iPhone 17 Pro next week and I’m already searching for a case. Every iPhone 15 Pro Max case I have tried that was clear ended up yellowing after a few months, and most rugged cases that actually protect the phone just look too bulky and ugly like a robot lol
This time I want something that does both: style and real protection. I have been looking at iPhone 17 Pro Max cases but still haven’t found one that really feels like the BEST case for iPhone 17 Pro Max. I see a lot of pre-orders for cases, but I’d rather hear from people who’ve actually used good ones on older iPhones.
I prefer leather, but I know Apple stopped making their own. Has anyone tried an iPhone leather case lately that actually lasts? I don’t want the leather to start peeling after a month. If there’s a good iPhone 17 Pro leather case or iPhone 17 Pro Max leather case out there, I’d really like to know.
Ideally I’d like something that could be considered the iPhone 17 Pro Max leather case, but I’m open to suggestions for the best iPhone cases overall too. Not planning to cut corners on accessories for my new phone.
Thanks!!

Does the iPhone 17 Pro need a case?
Even the best phones aren't completely immune to damage from drops and scratches that come with daily use, so we recommend getting a case for the iPhone 17 Pro. Investing in a good case can help protect your phone and keep it in better condition for longer, which can also help you score a better trade-in deal the next time you want to upgrade.
Will an iPhone 16 Pro case fit the iPhone 17 Pro?
The dimensions of the iPhone 17 Pro and its predecessor, the iPhone 16 Pro, are very similar. That said, key design differences mean an iPhone 16 Pro case will not fit the iPhone 17 Pro. This is largely due to the 17 Pro's upgraded camera bar, which extends across the whole top edge of the phone instead of being confined to one corner.
What should I look for in an iPhone 17 Pro case?
The best iPhone 17 Pro case will look different for everyone based on preferences and budget. If you use a wireless charger, mount, or other magnetized accessory, you'll want a MagSafe-compatible option, for instance.
If you like your phone to double as a wallet, you can also look for options with built-in wallets or straps. Some cases also feature a kickstand, which can be useful for hands-free video calling or watching your favorite shows.
