Lightning struck: Apple migrates all of its accessories to USB-C

I'm trying to find a USB-A to Lightning cable to charge an iPhone while using it, to replace an old 1m Apple cable that's too short.
If I search on Amazon, all I get are Ankers, Amazon Basics and random Chinese crap. In my experience, the Anker Powerline is way too thick and stiff, unpleasant to use. I ordered an Amazon one because they've been fine in the past, but the new one is much thicker, just like the Ankers. I won't buy random generic Chinese cables due to possible fire hazards.
Apple made a 2m cable but it's apparently discontinued, and it was expensive.
Does anyone make a cable that's reasonable thin and flexible, like they all used to be? It doesn't have to be as flexible as the Apple cables, just reasonably so, not one of these firehose monstrosities that I'm seeing now. I'f prefer non-braided if possible, and white or gray.
(I might consider a USB-C cable if there's a good one, but that would require buying a new charger. I'm using an old 5W USB-A brick partly because I prefer to charge slowly and hopefully extend the battery lifetime.)
