I mean maybe? Use what you feel most comfortable with. I doubt it makes much of a difference. I like Apple mail because it’s just simple, the smart boxes (which I’m sure is a common feature) are nice, and the focus modes work well with all my inboxes. I don’t care about my personal inbox at work I was mainly using gmail before and it’s great. I still use it, but just have it connected to my Apple mail. More on reddit.com

Hello. What is the best email app for iPhone? I used Outlook but moved to Apple Mail. I only care about receiving email and low optimized battery usage. iPhone 16 pro max. so is Apple Mail on iOS battery efficient? I only have push enabled for my Outlook account to receive email (receive notifications). Thank you.

I've been exploring the idea of transitioning from Gmail to iCloud Mail for my daily email needs. However, I've come across quite a bit of criticism regarding the Apple Mail app. I'm curious—are there any regular users of Apple Mail who can share their experiences?

I used both and I think Apple mail is fine as long as you are not a power user and only mail on a regular basis. Gmail has more features, so if you are a more advanced user, Apple mail might lack some features you are used to.

I use Apple Mail on the desktop to coalesce all of my email accounts in one Inbox. I have a gmail account, iCloud account, two Outlook (business use) accounts and a proton account. I don't really have any problems with the app personally. I send and receive from all of these accounts daily. I have no complaints.

I switched completely to Apple Mail about 3 months ago using that as my primary email. I use aliases, personalized domain and hiding my real email. It's very convenient.
After reading this subreddit and others I had a long time to choose which email provider to switch to and I haven't regretted choosing icloud.com.
yes, I also added my Gmail account which is only for YouTube and other things.

Just to make sure things don’t get mixed up: Apple Mail does usually refer to the app, while iCloud Mail is the service. According to your post you’re using iCloud+ (which is required for using a personalized domain [edit: with iCloud], for example) and the Mail app (where you added your GMail account) as well.
