Spoke with an Apple customer service rep who said that an in-store purchase can be returned for up to 30 days with no issue and that every Apple Store would honor this.
I purchased an iPhone 16 Pro a couple weeks ago just to try out the smaller size before I decided which 17 Pro to order (been using the Max for years). I totally forgot that the phones are only available for pre-order at first though, so needed a little extra time on my current device. I’ll return it after I switch everything over from the new one.
Either way I’m fine because I have the recorded call confirming I’m good. Just curious about everyone else’s experience.
I am thinking about switching to iOS from Android and demoing an iPhone for 2 weeks.
Android has a 2 hour no questions asked refund policy. This lets me try out apps and ensure they actually do what I need without risk. The refund is near instant. Apple requires me to submit a problem and request a refund. There is no guarantee the refund request will be granted within 48 hours. I've already paid for an app that turned out to be garage. Luckily my refund request was granted.
I cant find concrete details on refund policy for apps. It feels like Apple is intentionally vague.
Is there a limit on the number of refunds per each Apple ID?
Have anybody actually ran into problems asking for refunds? Have any been denied?
Hi - If anyone has suggestions, I'd love to hear them. I downloaded an app from the Apple App Store called Home AI (it's terrible, btw...). They offered a 3 day free trial so I signed up but was immediately charged for a full year subscription ($39.99). Apple refused refund request which I initiated within hours. They told me that their policy is only to issue refunds if you are charged DURING an actual free trial. But since I wasn't in a free trial technically (???!!!) they could not refund my money. This is some crazy loophole/scam/deception. Please beware of these free trial offers. It's the last time I sign up for one. I can't get relief from credit card company because Apple deducted payment from the balance in my Apple Wallet. I'm sad and frustrated with this whole experience. The developer claims that the free trial was 'offered by Apple' and is subject to Apple's "stringent" refund policy. I'm exploring ways to file a complaint about this practice but not sure where to begin.
My wife wants to buy either a macbook pro or air, but she has never before used one (always had windows laptops) Is it possible to return it if she simply doesnt like it? Is there something like 7 day return policy or something similar to hand it back without hassle?
I know this isn't technically apple problem but I had my iPad delivered to my friends house since I am out of the country and he wasn't available to accept the package for three straight days with UPS and they said they are returning it to the sender. Is apple going to refund the product or are they going to ask me to send another address? I want to contact their support but they don't offer email only phone.
