My bank changed card provider from VISA to Mastercard. Apple contacted me to let me know my Storage plan will stop unless I update the card on my account.
This should have been a 2 minute job. Instead I'm still here, almost an hour later with blood coming out of my ears in frustration. None of the instructions in the email or on the Apple support site are up-to-date.
This is the emailed instructions:

Go to Settings > [your name] > iTunes & App Store.
Tap your Apple ID, then tap View Apple ID. You might be asked to sign in.
Tap Manage Payments (if you are using an older version of iOS, tap Payment Information) and follow the prompts.

So i tried some other instructions I saw somewhere: If I go into (on my iPhone or iPad) Settings > My Name > Payment & Shipping, I can see my old card but I cannot edit it, or remove it, or add a new one.
This is SO goddamn infuriating. I have been on the iCloud website, can't do it there either.
WTAF. The amount of times I've had to put in a "one-time-code" from my iDevices in the past 60 minutes is ludicrous.
For a month now, I’m not able to download some apps. It comes up with an error stating “Verification Required” I then enter my password and it takes me to the “Manage Payments” tab where it says my payment method has failed.. I click on that and re enter my CORRECT details and then it fails.. EVERY TIME. It says that my payment method is declined but I’ve had the same phone, same card, same Apple ID for years and I know it’s valid!! Please help a non tech savvy gal.
I missed my Apple Music payment because my online wallet didn’t have enough money to pay for it. I already top upped my wallet and I want to pay for it but I can’t find how. I want to keep my account like I want to keep my downloads and library. I don’t want to delete my account or cancel my subscription because then I’d lose my library, how do I update my payment without canceling my subscription or deleting my account? Help me…I already have 894 songs on my library I don’t want to lose it pls
Trying to download a free app but it keeps asking me to log in and update my payment method although I already have two that have a balance. I have deleted them and added them back and checked that I have no outstanding balance; I also logged out and back in alongside turning. My phone off and on. Why does this happen and how can I fix it.
I had to replace my broken credit card and now I have a new cvv number and expiration date. After activating the new card (same account), I got notified on my phone that my payment info needs to be updated for my icloud subscription. Assuming the notification is due to having new cc info (despite the number being the same) and having no other problems with my cc account, I’m unable to edit the info to provide new cvv number and expiration date. It won’t allow me to remove the previous payment method and add a new one because there are active subscriptions but it also won’t let me add a new payment method because it says it’s the same account. Anyone know how I can update it so I can keep my iCloud storage/other subscriptions?
I’ve been in the US the last 6 months and set up my phone for that country’s apply store. Issue is now I’m back in Europe and my American bank card obviously got declined for a payment.
So in trying to update the payment method I need to add a European bank card to pay my outstanding bill but Apple won’t let me because they think I’m in the US and won’t let me change my Country because of the outstanding payment. I can’t download even free apps it’s crazy. Any suggestions?
Does anybody know how to fix this on your iPhone cause I’ve been stuck on doing this for the past week and still can’t fix it
Okay, so here’s the situation. My debit card has been working just fine this morning, I had a pending charge of 2$ from a game that failed to go through. Apple kept asking me to update my payment method so I kept entering the CVV to no avail. I tried adding another Mastercard, it didn’t work, then a Visa that actually got added but it shows (Failed) next to it no matter what I do. I kept trying so maybe that messed up something and perhaps apple flagged my account, but the worst part? I can’t contact them. I live in Morocco, I don’t know what I can do. We don’t have an apple store but we have a reseller that’s recognized and I honestly don’t know how I’m supposed to pay something if they’re not allowing me to add a payment method and not accepting the one I have. My accounts are valid, have funds, and I can easily buy stuff online, just not pay my apple 2$ charge. I also need to pay my iCloud subscription tomorrow so… I don’t know what to do. Please give me your advice and help.
PS : It’s an iPhone 14, latest iOS version.
