Hello,

Simple question, is there a mod that lets me equip a Jetpack and Armor at the same time?

Hey does anyone know how to move faster in the air with meckanisms jetpack? Its just really slow. Or a good beginning/mid game flying item to replace it?

So I'm new to atm6 and I was wondering if there was a way to have the armor of a chestplate while also being able to use a steel (nothing higher than steel) jetpack?

It seems that they are all opting for the Mekanism jetpacks in their series' instead of the simply jetpacks option. The issue with this is that The armored version of the mekanism jetpacks are currently broken and don't provide any armor at all even though it puts the indicator on the armor bar. This leaves them very vulnerable and is a big issue as far as taking dungeons goes. You end up taking a lot of damage (espesially from the archers I've found) that should be mitigated. This is seen a lot in the Flux Buddies series with u/Yogscastlalna and u/YogscastKim

What they should be using are Armored Resonant Jetpacks. These are slightly more expensive to build, but they use RF as fuel and their armor is a diamond chestplate's worth of armor an is not broken! I've found this makes you feel much more invincible as you would expect from such an expensive armor item.

I'm equipped with the following:

• Helmet of Revealing (1 armor pt.)

• Armored Jetpack (6 armor pt.)

• Osmium Leggings (3 armor pt.)

• Free Runners (0 armor pt.)

Which should give a total protection of 10 armor points, the equivalent of a full diamond set.

However, I still get my ass handed to me by a couple zombies and skeletons as if I weren't wearing anything, leading me to suspect that the armor piece that supposedly provides the bulk of my protection (Armored Jetpack) is bugged and doesn't provide any protection at all.

I have ZA disabled, and these zombies and skeletons are just wearing normal gear (or the non-existence thereof), no steel swords or osmium armor or anything like that.

Can someone explain what's going on?

I'm looking for good ways to fly around. I have the Mekanism jetpack but I want something like the Open Gliders gives you (really miss it and may just add it to my server with ATM6).

I think the Mekanism armor lets you run fast and there are items in Blood Magic and Botania that let you run fast but anything that lets you fly fast like the glider would?

EDIT: Iron jetpacks is the way to go. After making the Mekanism jetpack I assumed the other jetpacks would function the same. With a tier 4 jetpack from Iron Jetpacks I am zipping around everywhere. Perfect. Thank you all!
