Just built a new PC and it won't boot.
Trying to update BIOS and I get the "solid green lights".
The only instruction I can find is "Please make sure that you plug the USB drive to the USB BIOS Flashback port".
But what should I do to not kill my MB?
Extract the USB drive? Turn the PSU power off? Press the bios button again?

Guys, after more than 2 hours of trying ...i had the issue that the light was correctly slow flashing but the usb stick didnt work whatever i tried. At the end the only reason was that some other USB devices was plugged in!! After i took them out, it flashbacked immediately! Just try it out.

I just got the motherboard and I only have the 24 pin cable from the power supply connected. It has been stuck in a flashing green light for the last 45 minutes.
What's going on? How do I safely abort this process safely!?
I'm now finding out that my USB drive might be too big since it's 16 GB instead of 8 GB or below.

mine are 16GB and should not be the issue. the bios should be renamed to “creative.rom” or something like that (refer to manual) for it to work. flashback should take maybe 10-15 minutes. as far as turning off safely… im afraid i dont have an answer other than to turn it off by pressing the power button once and waiting to see if it restarts. otherwise press and hold the power button. turning off a motherboard during a bios update may brick the motherboard

first reset the cmos. switch of power supply. press power button to discharge any left over charge. press and hold “reset cmos” button for like 30 seconds (or remove cmos battery for a couple minutes and place back in). switch on power supply. this will have reseted the cmos. then try the flashback process again. format usb in fat32. download bios and extract the folder. rename the rom file to “creative.rom” without quotes. only add the file to the rom file to the usb. (Example: “D:\creative.rom”). plug in usb to usb bios flashback port on back of io. turn on psu switch. press and hold bios flashback button for 3 seconds and it should start blinking. let it go until it stops which means it is successful. may take several minutes. if it remains solid it was unsuccessful. if you were unable to flashback then reset your cmos and try again. cheers

I could swear that the BIOS flashback LED used to be off at first. First thing I did was to update to the latest BIOS, 3.01. All good. Windows install and messing around with some Rysen Master settings got me to have to do a BIOS flashback (super grateful for this feature, thank you ASRock!) which went well. However now the BIOS flashback LED is on and green all the time, whether the system is on or off. Is this normal? My system seems to be running fine. I also don't want to disable the LED in the BIOS because I think it's useful in case I need to BIOS flashback again.
Any thoughts and tips would be appreciated ✨
