Asus ROG Zephyrus G14 (2025) review: powerful gaming laptop with longer battery life
I’ve had many laptops over the years and Asus has probably been the most consistently good one. My 2020 G14 Rog zephyrus is still seeing some use. More on reddit.com
Is this a good gaming laptop? I'm considering buying it.
You will regret getting Asus. The customer /warranty service is one big scam. It will brake, also looks old model More on reddit.com
Please suggest me an Asus ROG laptop that has all features that a computer science student needs and i can game the best games out there (budget : 2000 dollars)
I have both a 2021 Asus g14 and a 2023 G16 (g614) with 4070, i9 and 24gig ddr5 memory with 244hz screen. It was a huge upgrade and performance jump and a very nice laptop. The g14 has a 3060, AMD 6800 and 8gig memory with 144hz screen for comparison. Both are really good laptops though and will run almost every game out there as I've been gaming on them a lot. One thing I would highly recommend is to delete Armory Crate and install g-helper. I saw a huge performance increase and a 10-14 degree temp drop from that alone. The thing that bugs me about Asus is their marketing. A lot of their specs say "up to ..." but don't actually list the part installed. I got caught in this web of lies with my G16 which is being returned tomorrow because the ethernet card is advertised as "up to 2.5Gbps" where in fact it's the Realtech family bus controller that comes installed which is capped at 1Gbps 100/1000, not the 100/1000/2500 as advertised. My smaller and cheaper G14 has the 2.5Gbps controller though, so it's weird that the G16 comes with the cheaper ethernet card. I've spent 20hrs on the phone with tech support over the last 2 weeks with 6 different support tickets trying to figure out why and their tech support does not have a clue about the difference between a family bus controller and a game bus controller. They have finally told me they cannot confirm which card is installed in any of their laptops as they use the website to check parts and the website is vague at best stating " up to .... " If you have any direct questions about the laptops or prices, please ask. I know these laptops inside out now and have done extensive testing. More on reddit.com
Are Asus Rog laptops long lasting and reliable?
I’ve got a 2060 model that I’ve been beating the shit out of for almost 3 years now. As in, I use in my shed with a woodstove going on battery nearly every day and it still lasts 7-8 hours. Been dropped a dozen times, some of those times needing to be bent back into shape. I would absolutely buy another. More on reddit.com

It's honestly killing a lot of time for me, there are just a lot of views and i am getting overwhelmed, people say Asus Tuff is also good but i have also heard that the thermal cooling is bad, and i have been suggested about Lenovo legion, but i just want to stick to ROG, maybe Zephyrus or strix. And i am still not sure. It's killing me to just take a laptop. I like the 15 inch laptop, but it's the old model, and Zephyrus 16 is the newer(2023) model.
