After seeing their ads come up on my instagram for years, I decided to order some linen sheets from Bed Threads in early September. I ordered a bed set for around $500 after reading reviews here and was excited to receive them. I placed my order, received an automated confirmation email, with the promise of a UPS tracking number, which didn't come. I waited a week, then e-mailed the company. No response for days. Finally, they emailed me my tracking number. Very soon after, a UPS person shows up asking me to pay a further $300 in duties and customs! I excitedly opened my packages to find that they had sent 3 fitted sheets, pillow covers and a duvet cover with a giant hole in it and the buttons fell off days later. After spending $800, I really could have cried. I emailed pictures, as there is no way to get ahold of this company by phone, you're at their mercy. There was no offer of a refund, but they've apparently sent a replacement. Again, no email with any tracking number. I asked for it, and finally received a tracking number, but my package has been sitting in waiting for 20 days for me to pay more in duties, as the company hasn't done so (they offered to). Absolutely horrendous experience. I do NOT recommend this company. Save your money. This is a poor excuse for a company and not worth your time or money at ALL. Beware of Bed Threads
I looked into Bed Threads and ordered a set of their swatches. The material was so thin – I was shocked. I ended up going with a brand called Simple&Opulence on Amazon for a complete set of pure linen sheets, and a duvet cover and pillowcase set. They are absolutely incredible. The linen is dense and springy and was less than 1/3 the price (I paid $109 for each queen set on Prime Day) of the other well known brands. So happy I took a risk on an unknown-to-me brand on evil Amazon. More on reddit.com

Deandra, you wanted in on this poop war from the start! The outcast. The slut. The bitch. The whore. The lonely, sad, slutty, bitchy whore. You sat on the sideline while these four titans battled it out. You were jealous that a few pieces of poop got more attention than you. r/Bedding on Reddit: Anyone tried Bed Threads, linen bedding company from Australia?
June 5, 2020 -

I recently bought a bedding set from this company after researching the benefits of the linen sheet and decided to invest in one. This company offers relatively reasonable prices($275 for a duvet cover, fitted sheet & set of pillowcases) on their linen products with a good amount of color choices so I went with it. They advertise their linen products to be "buttery soft" with basically high-quality everything. I knew linen is not soft compared to cotton or satin but thought after a few washes it would be at least a bit softer. Not true for my case. I followed instructions on how to soften linen bedding religiously and after 3 washes, it seems to be getting rougher. I cannot sleep on it because it feels I'm rubbing my skin against sandpaper. The quality of their product besides the roughness of the linen is also questionable. I know piling is normal in the beginning and so is attracting dust for linen, but the stitches and threads are coming off crazy even being washed in the gentlest cycle. The stitches on the duvet cover are now shrinking from coming off, jeopardizing the shape and structure of the cover. I wouldn't be THIS puzzled with my purchase if the linen wasn't so rough to the point that I can no longer use it.

I'm not sure if this has anything to do with the particular color dye(I got deep plum) or that I just made a shitty choice in getting linen bedding from this company. Has anyone experienced the same thing?

I'm obviously a major noob and would appreciate any inputs on how linen bedding works for everyone else.

I ordered the dusty rose set 3 months ago and it still sheds like crazy, like enough to make my entire home dirty with lint and fuzzies no matter how hard I try to keep it clean. Buttons fell off the duvet within weeks and it’s scratchy too. 100% would never have bought had I known how awful the experience would be

October 29, 2025 - I put them in my dryer, and I don't think they shrunk at all, because they fit easily when I put them on my queen bed. All in all, I was really surprised and happy, and will be buying another pair, and maybe as a gift for my daughter who will appreciate them because she only uses natural fabrics in her home. ... The Valence is poor quality and does not fit the size it’s supposed to. I sent an email with my concerns & I have not heard back. ... r/Bedding on Reddit: Beware of Bed Threads
October 17, 2023 -

Hey folks! I treated myself to a beautiful set of sheets from bed threads about two months ago. They kept popping up on my instagram and the reviews were solid, so I went for it.

I’ve never left a product review in my life–so for me to go on a site and actually take time to write a review should speak for itself.

My one star review was on the site for maybe two minutes before it disappeared. I then realized all the reviews for the set were five stars, and there were only nine. I obviously can’t confirm this, but I’m led to believe the company removes negative reviews from their consumer site (which is perfectly legal). An agent over chat told me my review was simply going to take awhile to publish, but I had already seen it up.

Anyway, I really don’t recommend bed threads. I wanted to love them, but they’re scratchy and uncomfortable even after breaking the linen in. They wrinkle like nothing I’ve ever seen no matter how I wash and treat them. And they look more muted than the photos.

Real bummer, but don’t waste your money–they’re expensive!
