November 3, 2016 - Sorry to respond with a question but what the end use of your new/old grinder? General lightg metalwork? Fine edged tools? Rough grinding? Ferrous? It makes a difference. A wheel intended for fine edged tools will wear rapidly if used for rough grinding heavy steel and a wheel suited for heavy steel may glaze and burn if used for fine edges. Many bench grinders are equipped for two grinding wheels.simplifying the choices.
