I have been pretty happy with my old Samsung TV. Im looking for a new 50" or 55" TV. I have xfinity so the highest resolution isn't that important. I'm not a gamer; audio goes through a 2 channel Onkyo that switches inputs, and I also use an ATV an old Oppo Blu-ray player I rarely use but keep around for the odd DVD and Blu-ray.
I would like 3 or more HDMI ports, that the cdmi-cec works well, and something in the $400-$700 price range would be great. Any suggestions?

Truthfully, if you don't really care about specs and tv technology then whatever within your budget will be fine. You can find big screen sizes and 4k resolution TV's for under $700. Most people can't tell the difference in screen/picture quality. Me personally, I need a TV with 120hz refresh rate instead of 60hz. I can tell the difference. Do not be fooled by Samsung's marketing term "motion rate 120". Lol. There are people who care about screen technology like OLED, LED, mini LED, refresh rates, audio output such as 10w or 20w, number of speakers, the different picture profiles, the processing power, the different voice assistants (Google, Alexa, etc), amount of and variety of ports, Dolby Atmos, and other things. It's a tough question but very easy to answer as well. Lol. Whatever fits your budget and wants. So basically who cares about the different series tv they have. Now, if you had posted 2 or 3 TV's on here for comparison and opinions from Redditors then I can give my opinion better. Lol.

Your current Samsung TV sells at WM for $278. You could replace it with a WM 3 year service policy. But when you poll for durability, Samsung, Sony and LG are the most respected. I like the Samsung interface. I'd buy an upgraded Sammy, a QLED like QN50QEF1AFXZA for $400ish. "Reliable" is a bell-shaped curve so it's a bit of a crap shoot and not worth 3 times the price, maybe not worth $75 service agreement. With technology creep I'd rather replace broken tvs with new bang-for-buck.
