r/WhatKeyboard on Reddit: 13 Best Budget Hall Effect Keyboards
December 16, 2024 -

Okay, so there’s Wooting 60HE and the Wooting 80HE has just released in 2024, but both are $200 plus shipping and the availability is not great. These are great keyboards nonetheless, but this is an article about cheaper magnetic keyboards with gaming features like rapid trigger, dynamic keystrokes and snap tap. Let’s go!

Most Hall Effect keyboards are wired for the absolute lowest latency (response time). However, some offer wireless options with Bluetooth and 2.4G connectivity, which is a nice perk for those who value a clean desk setup.

As for price, there’s a keyboard for everyone. I’ve even found some fantastic options under $100! Keep in mind, though, that build quality, software features, and switch types can all affect the price tag.

Cheap 75% hall effect keyboards

This is the most popular size and there are a lot of budget rapid trigger keyboards. The absolutely cheapest is Redragon, but it’s got bad build quality and software. Here are my recommendations:

  1. MCHOSE Jet 75 - $69

  2. Akko TAC75 - $69.99

  3. YUNZII RT75 – $89

  4. Keychron K2 HE - $129.99

I have 4/5 of these keyboards. Yunzii RT75 has also a really low price, it’s a great entry keyboard with rapid trigger. Akko Tac75 is slightly better build quality IMO and Keychron K2 HE is super nice mechanical keyboard. Jet 75 is plastic build and a fantastic price, but the software is lacking a bit.

Both Drunkdeer A75 Pro and G75 are the two only Hall Effect keyboards out there that comes with optional silent switches. And G75 has probably the best stock sound with regular switches, it’s my personal daily driver now. Both Drunkdeer keyboards have snap tap.

Full sized magnetic keyboards

The only budget keyboards here are:

  1. Aula F98X – $105

  2. Keychron K4 HE - $135

  3. Keydous NJ98-CP V2 – $149

I have had Keydous and it’s very good, it’s also wireless and with aluminium/brass plate with great build quality. And it supports magnetic and regular mechanical switches at the same time. Aula F98X I haven’t used, but it’s really cheap, nothing comes close to this low price. Keychron K4 HE just released in March 2025.

60-65% small rapid trigger keyboards

  1. MCHOSE Ace 60 – $39

  2. MonsGeek FUN60 - $35.99

  3. Nuphy Halo65 HE – $89.99

  4. DrunkDeer G60 – $99

  5. Nuphy Air60 HE – $119

  6. Luminkey Magger 68 – $119

MCHOSE just released in November 2024 and the price is insanely good, I don’t know much about the brand though.

I have Monsgeek Fun60 and it’s a great Wooting 60HE alternative at half the price with really good performance. I’m no Valorant player but I play some games and the latency is really low. And the Nuphy Air60 HE is a new addition, I also purchased it. It’s a low profile HE keyboard, so it’s a different experience, but it’s solid and the software is really good.

September 7, 2025 -

Hey guys,

I’m on the hunt for a Hall Effect keyboard mainly for competitive gaming. I know Wooting is the go-to pick and everyone swears by it, but I’m kinda looking for something that also has a bit more aesthetic appeal and solid build quality.

Budget’s around 200€.
Any recommendations or hidden gems you’d suggest?

Appreciate the help 🙌

Best Hall effect keyboards in 2026: the fastest, most customizable keyboards for competitive gaming | PC Gamer
4 days ago - You might be surprised to hear that it costs as little as $40, occassionally less, and still provides all the benefits of Hall effect. There are clear differences between a budget keyboard and a high-end one, notably in the construction of the keyboard's chassis and the switch feel.

January 23, 2024 - On the last day of 2024, I would say that I do not regret getting the Gamakay TK75HE, which is a budget keyboard with all your needs: a Rapid trigger, SNAP TAP, DKS, and a custom travel distance setting. But I wonder if they will release the new generation to be equipped with 8K polling rate ...

I am looking for a Hall Effect Keyboard that has the abilities like wooting, but isn't crappy build quality and overpriced like the wootings. I know there are many Hall Effects on the market and many have been tested to be found that they have equal or faster performance than the wooting, but I want to know what are some great keyboards that contend with the wooting but also aren't crappy plastic keyboards.

I need a HE keyboard that meets the following requirements:

  1. Rapid Trigger

  2. Snap Tap (or whatever its called depending on manufacturer)

  3. Id really like it to be 80% layout

  4. Has Bluetooth / wireless and is rechargeable

  5. Has decent quality and is not the first keyboard the brand just made

  6. Light RGB is possible

  7. No topographic keycaps

  8. Can be found on olx.ba / any Bosnian site or at least shipped to Bosnia without me paying more than 175$ so i don't have to pay import duty

For now I found the ASUS (yeah i know...) Ace HFX to be the most visually appealing and closest spec wise but its 60% and has no Bluetooth / wireless.

I’m looking for a solid Hall Effect keyboard that’s built to last but doesn’t cost as much as the Apex Pro. My budget is around $100 or less, the cheaper, the better. As long as it still has good quality and a nice design. I’d love something that feels great to use and looks good on my desk. If anyone has some recommendations I’d love to hear them and take a look.

r/buildapc on Reddit: Looking for budget hall effect keyboard under 140 USD
April 23, 2024 -

I am looking for a hall effect keyboard under 140-ish dollars, and here is what I have found that is around a 75% form factor. Keep in mind I literally started researching keyboards yesterday and have no idea what a lot of things mean, and the pros and cons are mostly based on how they look and personal preference.

  1. Keychron K2 HE - 130 USD

I like the black standard edition, no extra colors besides the exit key, and it looks very nice.

Pros -

-Nice and simple

-Nice looking rgb (although it’ll probably stay as a solid dim white light lol)

-Software looks good, web based

-Aluminum body

Cons -

-No volume knob which the Drunkdeer has at 10 dollars more? Not that big of a deal.

-No more I can think of

2. Shortcut Studio Bridge75 HE - 109 USD

The anodized black is very nice looking, but I wonder how replacement keycaps for the lighter keycaps would look.

Pros -

-Lower price (for seemingly the same and better quality features?) than the others

-8K polling rate compared to the 1k of the others

-Looks very nice and aesthetically pleasing

Cons -

-I don’t believe it has RGB lighting, which is kind of sad since I play in darker areas sometimes, even just a white backlight would be nice

-Hard to find anywhere, especially the black version

-Downloadable software

-I can’t seem to find any reviews or user experiences on this online

3.  Drunkdeer A75 Pro - 140 USD

I’ve heard a decent amount of praise for the board, and I think its been around for slightly longer than the others (better software?)

Pros -

-Nice looking rgb (although it’ll probably stay as a solid dim white light lol)

-Volume knob which others don’t have

Cons -

-Mixed plastic and metal case (not really reason to complain at this price point)

-Somewhat high off the table from what I’ve heard

-Colors clash somewhat with my setup, even if I replace the keycaps it has a red metal bar around the front

After going through all of these options, I am slightly leaning towards the Bridge 75 HE, because of the nice colors, with the keychron close second, while the Drunkdeer lags a little further behind just based on my color preferences.

Purely performance wise, the Bridge 75 HE seems to have the best? To my knowledge at least.

Any input on these is highly appreciated, thank you.

I'm looking into buying a hall effect keyboard and I want a good quality 75% or 80% keyboard that doesn't look too "gamery" and one that has stood out was the Keychron Q1 HE or the Keychron K2 HE but if y'all have any other recommendations please share them

I like the Q1's aluminum case and the web based software looks nice it also apparently has pretty good wireless connectivity and is easily moddable but if there are other better keyboards that hit these marks that I'm looking for I'd like to know
