When I started my landscaping company, I had a $1,000 truck, a handful of tools, a $30/month design program, and a bunch of knowledge/skills. Fairly low risk but also screwed up an early job by taking on something I didn’t have experience in (building a fence, didn’t go well and ate $1,500 in material expenses after giving the client a refund). Still turned a profit that month on the next job though. On track for maybe $600,000 revenue this year
