"Ok so first off, just a blanket wont really fix your issue. Youd need to change your entire setup cuz even the best blanket only helps so much if the room’s hot. Get a fan thats aimed across you (not directly on you) and keep a light sheet underneath the blanket to make all the cooling last. Also kinda wild but id honestly recc tossing your blanket in the freezer for a bit before bed, istg it works. As for the blanket itself, its best if you get the bamboo ones. They feel cool right off the bat and stay that way for real long. Or if you need the type which you can use on colder nights too, then get the double sided ones. Basically one side is cool to touch and the others the cozy type so you sorta get both things without needing to switch. This should help imo." Answer from AlternativePass8813 on reddit.com

Best Cooling Blankets via @ConsumerReports
May 31, 2024 - To find out, we tested six popular cooling blankets in our labs against a control blanket (a lightweight cotton blanket that I’ve owned for several years) to determine which blankets cool the best. We also weighed factors like blanket construction, size, and comfort to help you make the best choice for your needs.
Are cooling blankets expensive?
High-quality cooling blankets can cost anywhere from $100 to $350, depending on their materials and construction. Since they tend to be thinner than traditional winter blankets, they may cost a bit less than their heavier counterparts. Blankets with natural and organic materials or specialized cooling technologies tend to be the most expensive. A quality blanket can last for years with proper care, so investing in a blanket that keeps you comfortable can easily pay off over time.

What makes a good cooling blanket?
Regardless of its construction and technology, a good cooling blanket is usually going to be made from a breathable material that’s good at wicking away moisture. That being said, there are of course exceptions to every rule.

How do you use a cooling blanket?
To put it bluntly, you use a cooling blanket just like you would any other blanket. Some of them (such as the Brooklyn Bedding Dual Therapy Weighted Blanket) offer you two sides to choose from, but the sleeping experience itself isn’t any more or less complicated than normal. Once you decide which blanket type and material is best for you, it’s as simple as lying down and draping the blanket over you.

Just try various styles and return. Everyone's perception of heat and their sleeping environments are different. So you should just check what people generally enjoy and purchase them from a place with good returns and then try. Cheap amazon qmax > 0.5 blah blah blah. Very cheap. (filter through various listings to find the cheapest one) Easily returnable in 30 days. $10-$30 (this is what i'm currently using) 2. Buy one of those lyocell/tencel blankets. 3. Buy a linen blanket. 4. buy a summer weight silk blanket. (I currently have mommesilk's 2in1 coming) 5. buy a muslin blanket. All these are considered "cooling" with good temperature regulating property. You have to test them now to see which style suits you. It could very well be that it's not your blanket that is warming you. It could also be your mattress that is trapping heat.

I have the chunky knit weighted blanket from Brooklyn Bedding. It's surprisingly cool. The way it's constructed allows for airflow, but the material is somehow cool. I'm not sure how it works, but definitely check it out if you're OK with a weighted blanket.
