Brooklinen makes some great sets, but quite a lot are returned cuz of shrinkage or the fabric getting scratchy over time (major ick) For cotton-linen blends, I’d recommend California Design Den or Sijo. Parachute has a nice relaxed look but can be high maintenance and tends to wrinkle heavily. Coyuchi is solid if you want something organic, but their king sizes tend to run a bit snug after a few washes. I’ve seen the most consistent feedback on California Design Den (linking it cuz its a little nicher ig). Its super soft out of the package and holds up well, full shade to brooklinen. All three are reasonably priced and feel higher-end than some of the bigger brand offerings in the same bracket. They also tend to last longer before you see pilling or thread fray. For washing, I usually suggest cold water, gentle detergent, and low tumble dry or hang dry if possible. Avoid fabric softeners or bleach both mess with the finish. If you like a crisper look, toss in a dryer ball or two to soften without chemicals Answer from BluwulfX on reddit.com

r/Bedding on Reddit: What Duvet Cover do you recommend??
February 18, 2025 -

I am in the process of changing my bedding, and upgrading from a Queen to King. I went down the rabbit hole and got some sheet, mattress, pillow etc. Gosh, it was a very fun

Now I am trying to find a good duvet cover, do you all have recommendations? Budget is around 200-250, willing to spend a little more if the product is really great.

I got my duvet cover from pottery barn https://www.potterybarn.com/shop/bedding/duvet-covers-shams/ I'm sure there are cheaper alternatives, but at least everything from them seems to be good quality. I went with a 100% cotton one from the winter selection that went on clearance a while back and im pretty happy with it. [edit] they still have it, but not in the color that i bought it in. https://www.potterybarn.com/products/stewart-plaid-duvet-cover-shams-multi/ only white is left but not bad for 80$

The 6 Best Comforters of 2025 | Reviews by Wirecutter
October 20, 2025 - If you’re looking for a wool comforter: Coyuchi’s Climate Beneficial Wool Duvet Insert is the best of the two wool comforters we’ve tested. It is warm enough for winter but breathable enough to use in summer on cooler nights. You can machine-wash this comforter, on a delicate cycle, but it needs to air-dry.

Linen Duvet Cover Recommendations?
H&M online! I own 4 sets of their linen and 3 sets of their muslin (each set is two Twins). They are beautifully sewn, great quality, get super soft after a few washes, and fit perfectly on my Buffy Eucalyptus duvet inserts. They have gone up in price iver the years, but often have 25-30% off sales. Snagged my last set around Christmas for $67 each. More on reddit.com

Affordable but good quality duvet inserts?
Also voting for IKEA’s duvet inserts. They’ve held up well, are very comfortable, and the Swedes designed them. What’s not to love? More on reddit.com

[Request] Duvet recommendations?

I've had very good luck with The Company Store and L.L.Bean for both duvets and covers. (There are duvets and flannel covers in this house that have been around since the early 90s.) Ideally, wait for the January or spring sales.

But my new favorite duvet is one that comes in two layers -- you use a single layer for summer and then snap the two layers together for winter. Clever and economical! Mine is Woolrich, purchased online maybe six years ago.

What Is The Best Kind Of Duvet Insert?
If you love the weight of a heavy comforter and want to stay warm and cozy, consider an ultra-filled down duvet insert. If you sleep hot, there are cooling options (generally made of natural or down-alternative materials) designed to keep you from overheating at night. If low maintenance is a priority, look for machine-washable duvet inserts.

Snuggle Up With The 6 Best Down Comforters, Tested By Editors
3 days ago - The Puredown All-Season Duvet offers the soft feel of down without the high price tag. The trick is in the materials; it’s not entirely filled with down—it’s 90% goose feathers and 10% goose down. While this might be a downside to some, it’s not a deal-breaker for those looking for a lower-priced option that also values more sustainable designs.

Every detail of this piece is well-crafted, and the comforter delivers a rare and precious brand of functional luxury—I’d compare it to a Range Rover, except a Range Rover isn’t as reliable. The base of the duvet is European white goose down with 700-plus fill power, and the package comes with a code to track the source.
