What is your budget? Understand that there are different types of i7 CPUs, some are low powered, others are high performance. Additionally, there are different generations. For more idea, check out this datasheet of laptops . It lists all the latest laptops i.e laptops with current-gen i7 hardware. I live in Canada and I'm looking to buy a new affordable laptop this coming Black Friday/Cyber Monday for work and personal use.
My previous device was a Surface Pro 4 with an Intel Core i7 processor, 256GB solid state drive, and 8GB RAM. I've been using this tablet for school, work, and personal use since November 2015 and it's almost been a decade.
The battery swelled up this year and caused the touchscreen to pop out and get damaged. Rather than spending the money to try and repair it, I thought it's finally time to invest into another durable modern laptop that will hopefully last me another 10 - 12 years.
I'm looking for one that has around the same processing speed and power as the Intel i7 or faster, 256GB solid state drive and 8GB RAM
Even if it isn't a touchscreen, I'm okay with it because I've been dealing with unresponsive shaky touchscreen with my Surface Pro 4 in the last few years.
I won't be doing gaming on it as I have a home console. I will be watching a few streaming videos on it and will use it for online Microsoft Teams video meetings
I want an actual laptop this time around instead of a tablet that's trying to be a laptop.

This ZenBook 14 OLED is a good choice. It's close to your maximum price but it's definitely worth it. The only issue is that there is only 1 USB Type-A port, but it has 2 Thunderbolt 4 ports, so they should make up for it.
