My girl friend of mine is looking at a multifunction laser printer and I was hoping someone could give me some suggestions on what is decent. She is not very computer savvy and just wants something not too big, that can print several hundred sheets one time, and that is reliable and simple to use. My girl doesn't want colour and under $700.
I have not bought a printer in ages, I don't have the experience to choose at this time, can somebody help me, any suggestions would be welcome.
I’m finally done with cheap inkjet drama and want to switch to something more reliable. I’m looking for the best laser printer for home use that can handle regular document printing, occasional forms, maybe the odd ticket or label, without needing constant toner replacements or random “printhead cleaning” rituals. I don’t need anything super fancy, but built-in WiFi, decent print speed and not having it jam every other week would be nice. For those of you who made the switch from inkjet to laser at home, what did you buy and are you still happy with it after a year or two? Any brands or models you’d avoid, or things you wish you had known (like toner cost, driver issues, noise, size) before buying?
Edit: After reading the comments, I found a guide that helped me compare toner costs and long term reliability. Sharing it here in case it helps anyone else: home laser printer guide.

What would you like to accomplish?
Laser printers are more capable of printing clearer Word documents at higher volumes. They are more expensive than inkjet printers, which is one you may wonder if you can afford them in your home office.
While working at home may present some financial constraints on the equipment that you use, it doesn’t mean you can’t get yourself a laser printer.
Brother? Any other good brand?
We have curated a list of laser printers that can serve you well despite the lack of space and/ or budget:

Looking to get a solid printer for home office, something that is easy to get ink for, ink won’t dry out fast and is under $500.
Thank you any help/suggestions?

I want a laser printer for usual B&W home printing like 10 pages a month and I might want a colored paper 6 time a year
I want the best value for money and not exceeding 200$ old models are preffered
Wirecutter (see link below) recommends the HP Color LaserJet Pro MFP. But, I’ve heard a lot of complaints about HP printers from others in this community.

I’ve heard good things about Brother in general, but am looking to hear some recommendations about a few I’ve specifically had my eye on:
-
HL-L3290CDW (Doesn’t look like this has a feeder that would allow for scanning multiple pages at a time. It’s not a must-have for me but could be nice)
https://www.brother-usa.com/products/hll3290cdw
2. MFC-L3750CDW
https://www.brother-usa.com/products/MFCL3750CDW
3. HL-L8360CDW (Doesn’t even look like it has a scanner)
https://www.brother-usa.com/products/HLL8360CDW
4. MFC-L8905CDW

Also open to other suggestions whether they are other Brother printers or not! Here’s a link to the list of all Brother color laser printers:

I’m trying to put together a small home office and I’m a bit stuck on the printer part. I want the best laser printer that can also scan and copy, since I deal with contracts, tax stuff, and random paperwork a few times a month. I don’t need full-on corporate level gear, but I do want something that feels solid, connects easily over WiFi, and doesn’t choke if I print a 30 page document. Duplex (double-sided) printing would be a big plus. If you run a small business or work from home, which laser all-in-one are you using and would you actually recommend it? I’d love to hear how it’s been in real life in terms of toner costs, reliability and how annoying (or not) the software and setup were.

I want a color laser printer/copied/scanner for home use with a small footprint that won't break the bank. Print quality doesn't have to be photo quality.

Thank you in advance for helping me!
I want to get a new printer because my current inkjet printer seems to be having more and more issues lately, and the ink dries up before we even get halfway through the cartridge. Which is saying something considering I have used this printer for college.
I would like a laser all-in-one printer (although fax is optional) that does color. I would say my price limit would be about $700. And prefferably something that will fit on my desk and not end up taller than I am. I dont really have brand preferences, but I have had tons of bad experiences with HP products, so I would like to avoid that brand unless people are really confident in a certain model.
Any suggestions?
Hi all,
I am in the market for a great printer. My print frequency is 10-20 pages per day / 365. I've bought most brands but it seems they all kinda fail quicker. Any suggestions?!
Hello - We have been using a HP Deskjet 4560 for few years and was never satisfied. It finally died and I am looking to replace it with an all in one printer (print/scan/copy). Color is not a must but we do print quite a lot for home use. My wife is an elementary school teacher so she ends up printing a lot of classroom materials. Should we go with a Laser instead of inkjet? If so any recommendations for a good one that costs less than 300 or 250?
My main requirements are it works with color, cos we sometimes photo print for personal use, and that it's possible to refill rather than spend big buck on new toners, so either they don't have chips faking the fill level or are easy to reset.
Scanner optional but appreciated.
Do y'all have any tips for me? I'm so so done with flaky inkjets and I've read some nightmares about some more modern printers.
Thanks in advance!
