I’ve never been one to spend a lot on clothing (early 30s man) but I have been looking to invest in some higher end pieces for my wardrobe.
Main criteria is natural fibers (not going to spend thousands for polyester or synthetic), and pieces that work for both casual or more formal settings.
Some brands I am looking at: Loro Piana, Brunello Cucinelli, The Row, Celine, Saint Laurent.
Currently looking at knitwear and coats. These brands seems to all run around $2k-$3k for a sweater and $5k-$10k for a coat or jacket.

What is the best classic luxury brand for men
What designer brands are considered a good introduction for someone that is middle class?
Check out Yoox or outnet whenever they have their big clearance sales (should be fairly regularly during holidays)- they have designer pieces at insanely low prices. I saw Acne jeans for $40, versace pants for $80... Also more "accessible" designer brands like alice + olivia and Theory for around the $50 range. Nordstrom rack also sometimes have good deals but some say the quality is lesser than full price.
More on reddit.comSo I recently though about acquiring some pieces from higher brands than those I am used to. Now, to be honest, I don't think that the flashy luxury brands really suit me which is why I'm interested to look into brands that have very high quality without attracting too much attention. So far I would say the brands that go along with this line would be Loro Piana, Brunello Cucinelli, Brioni, Hermès, Bottega Veneta and maybe YSL or Dior depending on the pieces (I could also add COS to the list if you consider it luxury). Now, I wanted to ask you guys which one do you think is the best when it comes to having a classic but classy appearance. Please note that I am not talking about bags or accessories here, please only consider the actual clothes.
