I am looking for a reasonably priced keyboard integrated with a touchpad that I would like to use to control a Macbook connected to a TV.
I care about:
smooth touchpad (comparable to magic trackpad or macbook trackpads)
keyboard with low stroke keys and quiet operation
price up to ~$200
Can anyone recommend anything? Thanks in advance!

The trackpad out of the box is definitely not perfect, but at least mac recognizes most of its 3-finger gestures as key event. From then on, you can remap them using Karabiner to the desired gestures, which is possible since most of them (Mission Control, App Expose, etc) can be set as key shortcut Again, this is not the perfect solution: I cannot recreate the zoom in/out gestures, the material is flimsy, and the trackpad is not anti-mistouch as advertised. I even tried the pro version, which was definitely a much more polished product, and, unfortunately they changed the trackpad such that it lost the aforementioned benefit. However, it is definitely the best of what I can find right now. Hope it helps

Hey all I’m a MacBook Pro (Early 2015) user with a secondary monitor and I’m looking to get a wireless keyboard and trackpad (or mouse) to better my ergonomics as I’m constantly reaching over to use the trackpad and keyboard.
Apple has their Magic Keyboard and Magic Trackpad but the pair will set me back around $230CAD and it’s quite hard to justify spending that much for something I can possibly get under $100. Sure the seamless integration is a huge plus for the Apple versions but is there any other options you guys recommend?

You can probably find a used Magic Keyboard and Magic Trackpad in good condition for a good price. I paid $10 USD for a brand new Magic Keyboard and Magic Mouse 2 combo from someone who purchased a new iMac and didn't want the peripherals. I gave the mouse away as a present to someone who likes it, and the keyboard has been excellent for me. A nice wireless keyboard isn't too hard to find, so if it's not the Magic Keyboard then it's not a big deal. However, the trackpad is a different story. If you want a wireless trackpad that truly works well with macOS then I'd definitely recommend trying to find an actual Apple trackpad.

Not a product that has slots to fit in the keyboard and trackpad separately. One product that does it all. Everything on Amazon is either bad reviews, zero purchases, or looks cheap. Someone’s gotta have a recommendation please!

Think out of the box - you can use a good old and cheap 2012 MacBook Air to achieve that, through OCLP and Universal Control.

Go for the MX Keys mini if you want a compact keyboard, or the regular size if you want the numpad. Besides the Magic Keyboard, i don't think there's a better one for the Mac
