Suggestions for hard foam topper for Casper mattress
I hate to break it to you, but I think you need a new mattress... I had a similar issue with an older Nectar mattress. I tried three different firm toppers and nothing worked. My pain improved with a new mattress.
Any mattress needs to be replaced after ten years, and foam mattresses fall apart even faster. Without support, you will have pain.
If you are having trouble with bills, you may want to try calling 211 (if you live in the US, that is). They can help find you social services in your area.
Good luck!

I have a Casper Original Hybrid and need a recommendation for a topper. Currently the bed is too firm for side sleeping but ok for back sleeping. I’ve tried a few options;
-
Zinus 1.5” foam topper: too soft for both positions but especially back sleeping and very hot.
-
Newentor dual topper: Medium and soft, had it on the soft side but made my bed firmer.
-
Casper topper: Also made my bed feel firmer.
Now I’m using the Endy topper with a thick quilted pad on top and a square of memory .75” foam in my shoulder area. The Endy topper on the soft side feels basically the same as my mattress so I may return it and go back to just the thick quilted topper which is still not enough. Any suggestions as to what I could try? I was thinking maybe just a 1” piece of foam could do it but I’m not sure.
Female, 5’4 and 143lbs, back and side sleeper. I can’t stick to one position. I’m mainly having issues with it being too firm for my shoulders.
Hi! My partner and I have been sleeping on a Casper mattress for the last year and it has completely wrecked my back. Ive developed the worst chronic back pain in my life over the last year and have spent money on physical therapy, fitness trainers, ergonomic desk set ups, everything— still no amount of moment, daily stretching, etc could fend off the pain.
Im at my family’s for the holidays and I slept on a spring mattress (I slept on spring mattresses my entire life before the Casper) and in less than a week of sleep, it feels like my year long back pain has almost entirely disappeared.
Initial perusing of this sub tells me that firm toppers don't work, but I don’t think I can afford a new mattress right now and I think I might literally break down and cry if I have to go back to sleeping on the Casper. Like, I'd rather sleep on an air mattress at this point.
Does anyone have any recs for a firm mattress topper or some other solution that I can use upon returning home to my Casper mattress while I save for a new mattress?
TLDR; developed chronic back pain after sleeping on a Casper mattress for one year. Slept on a spring mattress for one week and the pain entirely disappeared. Cant afford a new mattress so looking for firm foam mattress topper recs or other solutions.
