What Type Of Keyboard Is The Most Quiet?
What Is The Quietest Keyboard?
Is It Possible To Have A Silent Keyboard?
I am a research student at university and I have my own shared office space with other research students. I like the setup except for the keyboard I have been given.
I've had a really old corsair k70 cherry red switches that I have had for the last 10 years which I have been using but I have been getting some complaints about the noise. I was wondering if anyone has any suggestions. I am currently looking at the keychron k3 v2 not too if the low profile switches are a bit quieter than the regular switches found in my k70.
I am happy to take any suggestions anyone may have about finding ways to make my keyboard quieter or some better options.
Hello,
I need some advice. I need to procure a handful of full size (100%) mechanical keyboards for a very quiet office setting (the workers are on microphones and their calls are constantly recorded). They are currently using some older mech-membrane Logitech gaming keyboards, but they are out of production (they were mainly using them for macro functions but there is a solution for that already, so macro keys aren't a requirement), and we want to get replacements ready for the future.
We did some testing with Logitech G G413 SE's which the workers say feel fantastic and are great to type on, but we only have one with brown switches and thats already too loud. I think its the bottoming out of the plastic keys on the aluminum case. I'm thinking about just getting one with Reds and see if that is any better but I kind of doubt it, as the brown are really quiet when you type careful and slowly on it, but this is not an option. The other one I was looking ast was the Logitech K845
Are there easily orderable (10-20), really silent mechanical keyboards? I do have to keep budget in mind (100-150 USD per), so whipping up some custom boards is unfortunately not in the cards. As much as I'd like to get a really nice base and put in silent switches, orings, foam etc. myself, thats just not sustainable. PBT (shine through) Keycaps would be a big plus. I know that bottoming out will always produce some noise, but it really needs to be diminished as much as possible.
While gaming keyboards are an option, ideally I'd want to shoot for something thats a bit more plain, but thats okay if there are no other options.
Any suggestions are very welcome.
I would like to buy a new wireless keyboard, I love the feeling of mechanical keyboards but the sound is WAY too much, I share my room with my sister and she gets incredibly annoyed, which I understand.
The one I own right now is not the greatest and it's wired, and the sound is not that satisfying anyway... My budget was very limited when I first built my pc and most of it went towards the pc itself.
Do I have any option at all? Wireless, mechanical, silent. I am in Europe so if you have anything in mind from an actual store, I would also need them to ship to Europe! And I wouldn't spend more than 200/250 ideally, as I want to replace my headphones and mouse as well.
Thank you so much!
I need a new keyboard for the office but would like something that won't drive my coworkers mad with the clicks. Any recommendations for around $100. What key caps should I be looking for when I do my search. I want something with maybe some RGB
