Long story short, the last two movies I went to at AMC Dublin had less than stellar viewing experiences. Black Panther 2 was overly dark and Banshees of Irishirin was blurry. According to an article at Vulture, this is a pretty common experience across movie theaters now because the bulbs for the projectors are getting outdated and need to be replaced. I’m trying to see Avatar 2 before the Oscars and don’t want to watch a movie so focused on visuals on a less than subpar screen. It’s kind of a sad state of affairs when the home viewing experience is better than going to the theater.

"My very favorite movie theater! I love that every theater has the dream loungers and they don't cost any extra. Plus it's awesome to be able to buy tickets earlier in the week, choose your seat, and then not have to show up way before the movie starts. It's the most logical thing to happen to movie going since... ever! Everything is always pretty clean especially compared with the typical movie theater. I love the rewards program because it's one where I don't have to put in extra effort to use. Plus I can use the rewards on whatever I want, tickets or foods or drinks, instead of having the use specified by the theater. I haven't attended many of the special showings but I'm always impressed to see how many fun, unique events the Marcus has."
