Long story short, the last two movies I went to at AMC Dublin had less than stellar viewing experiences. Black Panther 2 was overly dark and Banshees of Irishirin was blurry. According to an article at Vulture, this is a pretty common experience across movie theaters now because the bulbs for the projectors are getting outdated and need to be replaced. I’m trying to see Avatar 2 before the Oscars and don’t want to watch a movie so focused on visuals on a less than subpar screen. It’s kind of a sad state of affairs when the home viewing experience is better than going to the theater.
Recommendations for the best movie theater in Columbus or Suburbs to watch Gladiators II, Ty.
Hey guys, lived in Central Ohio growing up but no longer there. Looking to buy tickets for two to a movie theater. My parents are both in their 60s, and my father doesn't move around too well.
What I'm looking for is a place that is nice, shows first run movies (they are probably going to go to Jersey Boys) and have nice, spacious seats. They go to the movies very rarely so I want this to be a treat.
Easton and Crosswoods both have the dine-in, reclining lazyboy-seated theaters. They're not too much more money than the regular theaters, and it's a nice treat.
AMC Dublin right off 270 had all leather recliners when I was there probably 6 months ago. I'm assuming it is all the screens, but I can't be sure. Was still a really good deal for a matinee too, for what its worth.

I havent been to a movie in.... ages. Pre-Covid I had the AMC rewards thing that got us all kinds of movies per month at cheap prices, and went to everything fun that came out..
Now.. I .. i think the last movie i saw in the theatre was top gun or gran tursismo or Oppenheimer.

So where are the True Movie goers seeing their hits? What theatre isnt a shit hole of rats and grossness anymore with seats taht are torn to shit?
I know some theaters do 7 dollars screenings on Tuesdays so looking for that and everyone’s overall favorite theater !

[Studio 35 Cinema and Drafthouse] (http://studio35.com/) on Indianola is my very favorite movie theater that I've ever been too.
It's more than just a theater, its a communal gathering place. There's only one screen and it plays both current movies and cult classics e.g. Rocky Horror Picture Show every month. It even plays Ohio State games on Saturdays in the Fall. It's got a kickass bar and they even serve pizza!
Ive herd good things about Pickeringtons $5 movie nights.
Looking to see Dune in IMAX next week, but I’m not sure which theaters have the best IMAX screens, sound systems, and most comfy seats.

Hi, I moved to Columbus at the beginning of the year and haven't been out much, But I want to go to the movies on Saturday, and a'm torn between two choices. I'm looking at either AMC Columbus Park 15 or AMC Ritz 13. I've looked at reviews online but want to get the flavor of more recent experiences/opinions if I can. (I also want to stick as close to home as I can and those two seem to be the closest to me, but if you have any suggestions for other theaters nearby then I'd be happy to hear them.)

I got a gift card through work for an AMC theater. Been going to Grandview Drafthouse/Studio 35/Drexel for the past several years, and I see on here a lot of complaints about AMC (Mostly Easton).
Probably gonna catch The Running Man [big King fan], I don't mind driving. Just wanting a decent [and hopefully quiet] movie.

Never been to the city. What is the best IMAX screen?
The last like 10 movies I went to in columbus people were awful, playing games on their phone, watch alarms every 15 minutes, talking out loud the whole time, yelling at people who asked them to be quiet. I dont know what happened in the last few years but everyone seems to have lost their minds.
Looking for peoples recommendations I want to look into more small local theaters, love gateway and drexel for example but id be interested in some bigger theaters as well.
I know columbus dosent have any real 70mm Imax screens the closest being in Indianapolis. But what's the next best option in terms or screen size or Imax?
Only places with reserved seats otherwise you'll have to arrive a while before. I like Marcus Crosswoods personally.
marcus crosswoods "ultra screen" is the best IMO.
(formerly an "Imax" screen, marcus replaced the Imax equipment with 35mm and renamed the theater to UltraScreen. Screen is same width, about 65')
