Hi I’m looking for an open world game to play. I’ve already played gta 5 and rdr2 and they are both some of my favorite games, but the reason I like them so much is because of the open world in them. So my question is what are your favorite open world games to play? I play on pc so that’s a factor btw as to what I can actually play.
I hear the gta games other than gta 5 are also really good but I’ve yet to play them. Are all of them open world as well?
Edit: I’ve decided based on the majority of people to get Elden Ring. Wish me luck!

Sand Land is a fun open-world game with various vehicles. Enderal is a mod for Skyrim, but it's really well-made and has its own unique identity. Atelier Yumia has some performance issues, but it’s a solid effort to bring open-world elements to the series. Divinity II: Developer’s Cut is an older title with its share of rough edges, but it’s a fun RPG that lets you turn into a dragon. I don't see Elden Ring on your list, but it's quite popular, so you probably know about it. The games below aren’t truly open-world, but they might still fit what you’re looking for based on the titles you mentioned: The Ys series is fast-paced action RPGs with rewarding exploration. They’re somewhat reminiscent of Metroidvania games. My favorites are Ys VIII to Ys X. Older Atelier games also have rewarding exploration, especially if you enjoy crafting. I’d recommend Atelier Ryza 1–3 or Sophie 2. More on reddit.com

I love War in the North personally. And Mercenaries is just an unknown treasure. Everyone hypes over GTA which just sucks compared to Mercenaries which actually has a purpose to it, and you can even blow entire skyscrapers down in real time which in GTA you can't do. But, it just goes to show you, everyone has to be a sheep and love GTA when there are such better games. Don't even get me started on the original Mercenaries: Playground of Destruction. I get frankly quite steamed up over this matter, as you can tell ;)
Liking popular game doesn't make people sheep. Most popular games (outside of locked down licenses like Madden) are at least pretty good to excellent. Not always my jam, but I wouldn't call any of them bad games. A game can be high quality and popular. I've never been a big GTA person, but GTAV online was a lot of fun. Hey you're passionate about the game so that's good. I would check it out if it was on US Steam store.
