Hi! I'm a beginner and this will be my first camera. I was thinking about buying used to get the most bang for the buck. My budget is around $500 and I was looking at DSLR and mirrorless cameras.
What camera would you recommend for this budget?
Here's what I found so far:

5D Mark II is getting a bit long in the tooth, as it was released in 2008. 6D is full frame, which can be good if you e.g. want to shoot in low light. 2000D is one of many DSLR options from the last 10 years, all of which are fine. Nikon has similar cameras, and the budget also suffices for a bit more advanced crop sensor DSLR's like Canon 70D + kit zoom.
For mirrorless, you should be able to find e.g. Sony A600 + 16-50mm kit zoom or Panasonic m43 systems like GX80 with a kit zoom or two.
I don't shoot Canon, so can't speak for them, but $500 for a body and lens is a tough budget point as it means you'll be looking at gear over 15 years old now.
It's still very capable gear, but also... well, old.
It might be worth looking at 'bridge' cameras for your first camera. The Sony RX10 mark II is still a very capable device, as is the Canon GX3 (?). Both should be available used around your budget mark.
Cameras like that will help you learn how to make most of the camera whilst offering a lot of flexibility. With time you'll get an understanding of what you might want from a more 'professional' set-up. I learned to shoot, years and years ago, on a bridge camera and it was an absolute joy!
After some research I have concluded that the most recommended cameras in my price range are the Sony a6x00 and the Canon EOS R100.
I'm mainly interested in street photography and macrophotography, if it makes any difference.
I have found some second-hand cameras and I was wondering: which one will offer the best cost-to-performance ratio?
Sony a6000 for $277 with 17,000 photos and all accessories / for $378 with 2,000 photos and all accessories
Sony a6300 for $403 with 15,000 photos and all accessories / for $504 with 1,000 photos and all accessories
Canon EOS R100 for $403 with 600 photos and all accessories
Fuji X-T100 for $554 brand new
I haven't done any research concerning the lenses, but I've read that not all lenses fit all cameras. So, which one of these cameras sounds the most reasonable to you? I'm open to suggestions for cameras as well as some cool lenses :)
Edit: I live in Europe, and I'm looking for mirrorless, dslr's are too heavy for my taste.
Hey everyone I am looking for a very cheap second hand camera, that takes okay quality photos, that gives the user a lot of manual control. I would like to control the sharpness and all that, because I want to learn the basics of photography that way, The budget is max 50 american dollars (I live in Poland not USA btw but it's easier for everyone to understand in American dollars)
Hello! I know this question gets asked too many times but the suggestions on these posts are rarely helpful for me as the used market in my country is very overpriced. I want to hear your guys' opinion on the choices I do have. I have done some research and I've narrowed it down to a couple of choices.
I've always been interested in photography but I never got around to pursuing a DSLR, but recently I've garnered a lot of interest so I want to start somewhere. I do photo editing and graphic design professionally and I want to further my capabilities on that end too, although I'm intending to use this camera primarily to get to know the ropes of DSLR photography coming from digital cameras and smartphone cameras.
I will be traveling a lot across Europe this summer, so I'd like to get the camera as soon as possible - this means that my budget for the camera is tight (200-250€). If I were to wait out until later this year I'd be working with a larger budget at the expense of shooting opportunities, however I could use the money I'd spend on the better cameras on better lenses down the line, so I'm not sure what the better option is.

I've done my research and weighed the pros and cons - I'm aware that the Nikon cameras on this list are poor for video capture, but if they offer more value on everything else for a lower price I'll note that. I've gone through the majority of listings for this price point to make this list but if you feel as though there's a camera worth buying that's not on the list feel free to mention it.
