Good cheap places to thrift in Brooklyn? I've never thrifted before and I have no idea where to start. Also, how do you know about fles markets and such? Are there any places that always have flea markets at certain times?
Edit: I live near Coney Island if that helps
So I’m from bushwick and the thrift store selection is kind of few and far between (at least last time I checked if there’s good ones in the area lmk)
But anyways I’m js looking for any rlly good thrift stores in the borough. Anything helps thanks :)
I've been on the hunt for good thrift stores in Brooklyn, mostly seeing there's a Salvation Army in Downtown Brooklyn. But are there any good places in Southwest Brooklyn in the Park Slope area or around those areas?
Looking for some cute but preferably cheap thrift stores in these areas! Any suggestions will help!

I’m visiting from MS next week and wanted to find some good local thrift shops. I’m mainly interested in clothes, old magazines, books, and random nick-nacks. Any suggestions?
looking for things up the alley of windbreakers, flannels, doc martens, and lots of jeans.
any help would be appreciated :)
L train vintage. Go to the large one in bushwick
The Goodwill on DeKalb avenue is incredible, but the line kills - make sure you go with someone so you can switch places in line if u need to put something back or keep shopping
(Also if you’re a women’s 7 DM me because I have a pair of black docs i’ve been meaning to declutter)
Okay, other than Crossroads, Beacon's Closet, and Buffalo Exchange - where are you all thrifting? There used to be a chain/franchise called Second Time Around that was my favorite, had a good mix of high and low end, and wasn't so big that you had to spend hours digging around. Does anything like that exist? Thanks in advance!
Any good thrift shops in Brooklyn around Clinton hill/fort Greene? Even farther away is fine, I just want a good thrift shop that actually has cheap clothes not a pretend thrift shop that sells shirts for 40 bucks because it’s trendy.
Just wanted to have a discussion on where people go for those kind of shops in the borough as I have some items that I would like to give away, but I was looking for some suggestions on where I could find those kind of places since I feel like they are a bit rare nowadays.
Just moved & I’m looking for recs on good shopping spots and especially thrifting in/around BK. I literally know nothing about the city so even the most obvious rec will be totally new to me!
In the Bushwick area there's an L Train Vintage as well as:
Reuse America Small but some good furniture. Aggressively rude staff.
Bklyn Classic 90s clothes and the owner is really cool.
Green Village Not great for clothes but tons of stuff. You can spend a lot of time there.
There's a bunch more in the area too. I go up on a Sunday since Green village isn't open Saturdays.
L train is a must, buffalo exchange is a must, Williamsburg and bushwick have tons.
Looking for mens clothes, bags, leather goods, pens, sunglasses, watches, records, cameras, odds and ends, knives. What are the best thrift shops in Brooklyn? Also is there maybe a specific area where there are many vintage stores concentrated close together?
I plan to make a day out of vintage shopping in BK but coming from the suburbs I have no experience in Brooklyn (though I am in manhattan several times a week).
Thank You
Looking for a trendy place to thrift for clothes and maybe some furniture/wall art (but mostly clothes!!). Any good suggestions?
Thrift or Secondhand Art? from 3 days ago recommends Saatchi Art and chelsea flea market. Best thrift stores in NY from 5 days before that recommends https://nycvintagemap.com. best clothing thrift stores in NYC? from 9 days before that recommends L Train Vintage and Goodwill among others. Urban Jungle. 118 Knickerbocker Ave, Brooklyn, NY 11237
Hi, I'm in Sunset Park and I was wondering if any one knew of a great Thrift shop and/or Vintage shop close by. Please and thank you!
Housing Works and Buffalo Exchange always seem to have good clothes.
Gouvner's in Park Slope is pretty great for authentic vintage. If you're looking for rockabilly recreations, Enz's NYC is across the street but it can be pretty pricey. There are some more vintage shops on Vanderbilt Ave as well.
Apart from that, Beacon's, Housing Works, and Buffalo Exchange are decent thrifting resources but nothing too remarkable.
I want a decently cheap place with wide-ish variety of clothes, please! Mostly in downtown Brooklyn, but uptown is chill as well
Looking for a thrift store where I can find home decor like pottery, lamps and paintings in Brooklyn. Not looking for a pricey antique shop but a true thrift store that sells more than clothes. I don’t mind digging or making multiple trips to find gems since that’s the fun part imo :)
Didn't realize there's a thrift store district in downtown brooklyn... Here they are ranked. Out of the Closet is absolutely the best if you can stop by regularly.
I know of a bunch of clothing thrift stores, but not furniture ones.
Much appreciated !!
