The best wired Xbox headset is the SteelSeries Arctis Nova Pro, praised for its exceptional audio quality, comfort, and customizable EQ settings via a dedicated DAC hub. It supports dual connectivity to both Xbox and PC, making it ideal for users with mixed setups. For a more budget-friendly option, the Corsair HS35 offers excellent value under $50 with solid sound, a clear microphone, and long-lasting comfort. Other highly recommended wired headsets include the Epos H6 Pro closeback, known for its high build quality and superior audio performance , and the Sennheiser PC38X openback, which delivers top-tier sound quality. The SteelSeries Arctis 1 wired headset is also noted for its strong performance at a low price point. For those seeking a reliable and affordable choice, the official Xbox Stereo Headset is a dependable option that works well when connected via the 3.5mm jack. It is advised to avoid Bluetooth connections on Xbox due to lag and poor performance, and instead opt for Xbox Wireless or 3.5mm wired connections.
This is the 3rd wireless headset that has just been garbage for some reason. Currently I’m using a SteelSeries set and I’m having to either reset my console, or move the stupid dongle piece into one of the various usb ports, or turn my headset on and off over and over until it finally works. Then like 90% of the time I can’t use the volume mixer at all and my headset is quiet as hell.
Can anyone recommend a headset that just plugs right into the controller? Wired only. I don’t want USB receivers or Bluetooth or having to plug something into something else into something else into my Xbox to hope it works.
