Hey! Found this post trying to find what subreddit to ask this exact question in. All the headphones I have bought in stores have disappointed me, as even with the higher end ones, I have to turn my volume all the way up on both the headset and my device to get near decent sound. What I use for music currently is jlab wired earbuds, and for 3.99 at Ross they are the best I've ever owned. I could blow out an eardrum on these if I wanted, and that is what I am looking to get out of a mic'd headset. So I could use it for music and then drop the mic down when on call with friends.
Looking at the Amazon reviews for even razer headsets though, all I seem to see are average or lackluster music quality. It makes me kind of nervous to buy anything 😟

My trusty gaming headset just gave out after years of intense sessions, and I’m in the market for a new one. I don’t need pro-level esports gear just something reliable, comfortable, and with great audio and a good mic. Bonus points for wireless connectivity, long battery life, and solid noise isolation.
This post was pretty helpful.

Let’s say under $200, but I’m flexible if something is truly worth the extra cost.
I mostly play FPS, RPGs, and multiplayer games, so sound clarity, comfort, and mic quality matter most to me.
After some research, I’ve narrowed it down to a few popular options:
SteelSeries Arctis Nova Pro Wireless
HyperX Cloud III Wireless
Razer BlackShark V2 Pro (2023)
Logitech G Pro X 2 Lightspeed
