Collette Collection Goldplaited Several Miles Boutique (idk if they have an in-person store, but I got a dress at the Lakeview Farmer's Market from them. the quality is amazing and I've gotten so many compliments!) I like to ask boutique owners how they source their inventory (I don't want anything made by children in factories), and all of this is sourced by the (female!) shop owners ethically :) and all are reasonably priced!

TL;DR: As I hate shopping, I prefer high-quality brands that last (and those with climate commitments) such as Boden, Everlane, Madewell, Sezane, etc. I’m in my 40s and I feel like every local boutique I’ve been into has fast-fashion options for either much younger or much older people. Advice on where I can find similar quality brands at places that are locally owned?
I know versions of this question have been asked, and I’ve found some helpful info in there, but I am hoping for some more specific answers.
I am working toward an ambitious goal to drastically reduce my reliance on big business, but one facet that is especially difficult for me is clothing. I hate shopping. So l, I do 99% of my clothes shopping online where I can browse and slowly add stuff to my cart over the course of days or weeks. As I hate shopping, I prefer high-quality brands that last (and those with climate commitments) such as Boden, Everlane, Madewell, Sezane, etc. I’m in my 40s and I feel like every local boutique I’ve been into has fast-fashion options for either much younger or much older people. An obvious option would be to try finding those brands at secondhand stores locally. Clementine comes to mind but I haven’t shopped there in a few years - last I recall those were some brands I saw on the racks. You could also try verdalina, located a block or two down from Quirk on Broad. Focused on sustainable style and organic fibers with timeless silhouettes.
