Looking to help my SEO on my podcast and comedy channel(same name as username) would love to have some recommendations on budget SEO tools.
Videos
Need an SEO tool for my business that provides accurate Keyword Research for Youtube Search specifically.
So far these products seem to offer Youtube Search analytics:
Keywords Everywhere
Keywordtool.io
Tubebuddy
I'm currently using Tubebuddy but it provides minimal functionality. Interestingly it pulls data from Keywordtool.io. Anyone ever used these products or an alternative? What was most effective for you.
Ultimate goal is to build a better Youtube channel and I want to utilize SEO to make sure I title my videos accordingly.
Hi all,
I would like to learn how you optimize your SEO scores, Title, description, tags, and hashtags. I hired a freelancer before for 3 of my vids and he had optimized the SEO score to 100. I did get a good reach/views for a few days.
Videos which have SEO Score 100 and a good reach (for me it's good enough):

https://linktw.in/IPLanQ
Now, I want to learn it myself using free tools and websites.
Please help me here.
I have seen recommendations for YouTube channels on Reddit, but I'm looking for an updated list of channels and resources to learn about SEO. :)
I want some keyword research free tools for YouTube, can you guys suggest some
I recently started a YouTube series offering free SEO audits, and I wanted to share some key insights I've gained. These findings might help you identify potential issues on your own sites and improve your SEO strategy.
Common SEO issues I've observed:
-
Keyword cannibalization - multiple pages competing for the same keywords
-
Lack of content depth and quality on key pages
-
Poor internal linking structure, missing opportunities to boost important pages
-
Neglected local SEO elements, even for businesses with physical locations
-
Overemphasis on backlinks without a solid on-site SEO foundation
-
Inconsistent or missing meta titles and descriptions
-
Slow page load times affecting user experience and rankings
-
Thin content on critical landing pages
-
Failure to optimize for featured snippets and rich results
-
Neglecting image optimization (file size, alt text, descriptive file names)
One surprising trend: Many site owners are chasing high-volume keywords without considering user intent or their ability to compete effectively.
Quick tip: Focus on creating in-depth, valuable content for your niche before worrying about link building. Quality content naturally attracts links and engaged visitors.
I'm curious to hear about your SEO experiences. What challenges have you faced? Are there any specific areas you'd like to see covered in future audits?
If you're interested in having your site audited, drop your URL in the comments of my latest YouTube video (you can find the YouTube link in my profile). I select 10 sites each month for a free, comprehensive analysis.
I'm here to answer any questions about the audit process or SEO strategies. Looking forward to a productive discussion!
Hopefully this helps someone, don't hesitate to add more tips. I'm at 8k subs, 10 million lifetime views. Most recent video 1 day ago 7k views.
Use 3 Hashtags (#) in the Description Adding hashtags to your video description can help categorize your content and make it more discoverable. Stick to 3 relevant hashtags that best describe your video.
2. Keyword-Rich Descriptions Make sure to include important keywords in your video description. This helps YouTube understand what your video is about and improves its search ranking.
3. Include Your Title in the Description Repeating your video title in the description is a simple yet effective way to boost SEO. It reinforces the main topic of your video to YouTube's algorithm.
4. Use a Variety of Tags Tags are crucial for getting your video noticed. Include a mix of broad and specific tags. A helpful tool for this is [RapidTags.com] https://rapidtags.io/generator which can generate a list of effective tags for your video. Don't forget to include your video title as one of the tags!
5. Recent Content Section At the end of your description, add a "Recent Content" section. List the titles and links of your last three videos. This can help keep viewers engaged with more of your content.
Example:
Recent Content:
Video Title 1: [Link 1]
Video Title 2: [Link 2]
Video Title 3: [Link 3]
6. Use Timestamps in Description Adding timestamps in your description can enhance user experience, making it easier for viewers to navigate your video. It's also a great way to highlight key moments.
I want to learn seo practically. But most of the time when I search tutorial on YouTube, they mostly use paid tools like semrush, ahrefs or ubersuugest. They mostly use the paid version and I don't have money. So is their any other way to do keyword research and overall seo for free?
I’m following normal best SEO practices but are there some need-to-know things specific to YouTube?
And yes, I’ve read the support article they provide, but I’m looking for some deep cuts.
Like on LinkedIn it’s best practice to have no more than 3 hashtags. Things like that.
I’m considering SEMRUSH.
I’ve a cleaning business and I want it to rank on first page. I’m done creating my website and now I’m considering purchasing a seo tool that helps with audit and helps with optimisation and spot my mistakes
What are the most useful free SEO tools you're using in 2025? Looking for tools that actually help with keyword research, audits, or backlinks.
Everytime I spend hours of time to gather the keywords which users are searching for but somehow I feel I could not collect the right result. I am looking for site, browser extensions or any other tools which can help me with writing a good description which reach YouTube search.
Hey YouTubers, I always struggled with getting my videos to rank on YouTube. Writing the perfect title, description, and tags felt like a guessing game.
So, I built Makefy ( https://www.makefy.co )—an AI-powered tool that analyzes your video topic and suggests optimized YouTube titles, descriptions, and tags to boost visibility.
✅ Enter your video topic → get SEO-optimized metadata in seconds
✅ Multilingual support for ranking in different languages
✅ No more keyword guessing—AI finds what works best for your niche
Would this be useful to you? I’d love some feedback! Also, if you want to test it out, let me know.
I'm tired of those "top 50 SEO tools" listicles that are just affiliate link spam. Here are tools I actually use every week that don't cost anything:
Google Search Console - Obviously. If you're not checking this weekly, you're flying blind. Shows exactly what you're ranking for.
Answer The Public - Free searches are limited but great for finding question-based keywords people actually ask.
Ubersuggest - Neil Patel's tool. Free tier is surprisingly generous for keyword research.
PageSpeed Insights - Google's own tool. Tells you exactly why your site is slow.
Screaming Frog (free up to 500 URLs) - Best for technical audits. Finds broken links, duplicate content, missing metas.
Also Asked - Shows "People Also Ask" questions. Gold for content ideas.
The ones I DON'T recommend:
Those "instant SEO audit" tools that give you a score - usually garbage
Any tool that promises to "check your ranking" for free - they're harvesting data
Anything that spams you immediately after signing up
Paid tools worth it if you're serious:
Ahrefs (pricey but incredible)
Semrush (overwhelming but comprehensive)
Surfer SEO (for content optimization)
What am I missing? Drop your favorite free tools below.
I have been using google trends and it work pretty good for me. However, the issue i am having is that i want to find wants being search in my niche. For example i have a gaming channel and i have to search the name of a specific game to get related terms. But how do i find out what games are trending or whats being searched in gaming in general.
Ahrefs, paid.
Semrush, paid, free trial.
Id do something like google this:
Site:quora.com Niche Keyword
then, see the top posts.
Then use the url from them, and add it to google ads.
See what terms are being bidding for that url. Check the keywords they pay to appear there.
Make a video about/using those keywords.
The research tab in Studio should provide some insights.
I’m looking to improve my YouTube channel’s reach organically. What proven SEO tips like keyword optimization, title tweaks, description structure, or audience engagement have actually helped you see a noticeable increase in views?
Please share your experience whether it was good or bad, thanks.
Curious what free SEO tools you guys rely on and if there are any underrated ones that deserve more attention. Also open to any geo / local SEO tools you think are worth checking out....!
Going to start making some cooking videos on YouTube and was hoping to nail some low hanging fruit keywords. What are some YouTube SEO research tools that are recommended around here?
Thanks in advance!
