Big Lots is closing hundreds of stores nationwide. The big discount chain is shutting 300 stores in the U.S., including the Woodbridge location on Green Street. A closing announcement is posted on the company’s website.

March 8, 2025 - Even more Big Lots stores in New Jersey are set to close as the big-box retailer continues its bankruptcy process; and a few additional locations in the Garden State may still have a little life left in them.

January 8, 2025 - Giambri's Quality Sweets in Clementon, NJ, has been handcrafting candy canes since 1942. The candy company made over 50,000 candy canes by hand this year. Hundreds of Big Lots stores will apparently be saved through a sale to another discount retail chain, but it's unclear whether any of the 18 New Jersey outlets will make that list.
