I’m late to this thread but I design and embroider hats for a living. I am familiar with NewEra and how they wholesale. The closest you can get will be the NE4020 which is a brush poly hat made on the 9fifty silhouette. NewEra doesn’t “wholesale” they’re 5950s to decorators, they keep those close and work with collaborators. I’ve spoken to a rep first hand, at one time I was searching too. You can find common colorways at some discount wholesalers, but you’re still going to pay $25+ per. I get NE4020s for $6.99 each no MOQ. But for custom hats I use nothing but Richardson 511’s or the original wool blend yupoong (creators of flexfit) 6089 green underbill hats. More on reddit.com

I work in the industry so maybe I can help a little with your question……. where to begin? one of the main differences is that New era caps will always have cleaner stitching than 47 brand caps so if you’re looking for a nice clean looking Pristine logo always look to new era first. 47 brand caps are mostly known for their low key low cost (dad cap) comfy design and if you’re into the lower profile pre curved brim I’d look to 47 for the vintage worn look before new era. That being said new era does offer a similar style cap but I find the material to be less comfortable, the material they use is “sturdier?” Than 47 brand it takes a little bit more time to break in…..Yes, even with the dad caps. Mitchell and Ness is pretty much in the market for funky designs flat brim high profile headwear. They are deep into street fashion and vintage logos but with a twist. Quality is just about on par if not one tiny step below 47 brand…… if you’re looking for a lime green or hot pink 76ers cap you’ll probably find it at Mitchell and ness. If you’re looking for a fairly basic design always go new era over Mitchell and ness. As far as clothing goes fanatics is pretty terrible. Plain,basic,screenprint, and terrible material and quality. New era offers better quality and much better design but has much less of a selection. Mitchell and ness surprisingly would be the way to go for clothing….. even though fanatics has “taken over” they offer a similar style and quality to what they’ve always had just be careful with sizing I find most of their hardwood classics and apparel fit smaller than what you’re used to.
