r/bose on Reddit: Bose music app connecting problem
August 30, 2019 -

my friend needed my help to register his device Bose Portable Home Speaker in Bose music app. I followed the instructions and got the device connected to the app. The device needed to install the update and i tried updating and it was very slow. While the device is still updating, he needed the phone because something important call came and he disconnected his device from his phone (it got disconnected as well in the app). The problem came here... i tried to connect the device to the app again but it seems having a problem connecting to the app. I pressed and immediately said "your device have problem connecting" (something like that but i dont remember anymore). I tried to reset the connection of phone and the device and it sstill doesnt work. The bluetooth works but the connecting to the app was the problem. Please help me and thank you.

Troubleshooting Bose Music App Connectivity Issues | Expert Q&A
You can also pair your mobile device with the soundbar using the Bose Music app. ... I've already mentioned that the app does not recognize the soundbar, and I can't link the subwoofer to it until the app acknowledges it. I have the TV connected to the soundbar, which works fine, but I can't connect the subwoofer because that can only be done through the Bose app.

Bose Music app doesn’t detect wifi - Apple Community
This can not be the solution. Bose needs to update their app immediatly (actually since iphone 14 pro is on the market) ... I have the same issue with Bose speaker 500. I am able to connect only once (first time) using a new email address. My 14 Pro Max is connected and I am able to control my speaker. Then I turn off my Bose Music app. After turning on Bose Music again, the app doesn’t detect Wi-Fi. By the way - it works with IPhone 14 correctly.

r/bose on Reddit: Bose NC 700 - Quick fix for the Bose Music connection issue
July 9, 2019 -

I got my NCH 700's on release day but have been struggling to get them connected to the Bose Music app. I found this response today on the Bose forums. I tried it out and got my Pixel 2 XL to connect immediately.

"Go to Settings>Apps and Notifications>Bose Music>Permissions>Location and turn it on. I had also given permission when installing the app but it was not on. Giving the app location permission immediately let me connect through the app and everything is working fine."

Credit to AdamN7 on the Bose community! I absolutely love these headphones

r/bose on Reddit: Bose music app stopped connecting
March 6, 2023 -

Has anyone had the issue where their bose music app stopped connecting? My headphones are connected to my phone and working but the app says the headphones are not available. It’s very strange and little annoying when trying to switch what computer my headphones are connected to.

Wasted a lot of time today with the same issue with qc ultra earbuds. Had to uninstall the Bose music app multiple times and factory reset the earbuds multiple times. For now, it seems to be connecting. Recent glitch was a random Bluetooth connection drop then a reconnect.

The Bose Music app, is completely useless. Out of 100 times, my earbuds might connect to the BMa once. It will initially try to connect, and then it will say something like "Connection Help". If I put the earbuds back in the case, the BMa will then say the earbuds are charging. If I take them out of the case, it will say something like "Searching" then "Connection Help". That's pretty much all I ever get. I reset the product, and deleted them from the BMa, and reconnected then to the BMa, then I got them to connect. But only once. The next time I tried, they wouldn't connect. It would say "Connecting" and then "Connect", but never "Connected". I finally broke down and called Support yesterday, because they wouldn't connect to my phone or computer. Support didn't run through any troubleshooting, because I said I already tried resetting and that didn't help. So, they sent me a return label, and said once they receive them it would be 3-4 weeks before I got a new pair. One downside is they only have Triple black (I had and prefer the Soapstone). I was going to see if I could get the Ultra's instead, since both the QC2's and Ultra's are the same price. Or order the Ultra's so I have something to use while I am waiting for the new pair, and then return the Ultra's once I get the replacement QC 2's.
