Zentro fire pits are built exactly the same as the X series. The only difference is that instead of being free standing you MUST insert them into a brick surround. Depending on the inside diameter of your surround is how you will choose the size. The 24in zentro fits techo bloc Valencia block kit perfectly. Stainless is the best option in my opinion. October 4, 2022Some questions about Zentro before I buy
I have never seen any issues with a zentro being dropped in a poured concrete surround. But breeo does not recommend it. Potential issues with a poured concrete surround is that the concrete could have air bubbles in it. These bubbles will expand when heated and crack the concrete. Black zentro is mild steel that is painted. The heat of the fire will cause the paint to flake eventually. Breeo does give you a can of black spray paint to do touch ups. I recommend the stainless model if you go zentro The exposed ring of the zentro is NOT designed for cooking. If you plan to do a lot of cooking I would recommend getting an X-series (24" or 30") with the insert ring adapter. This will let you utilize the sear plate griddle, outpost, and kettle hook cooking systems. The 30" fire pit has 2 accessory ports so you can run two 24" out posts to handle all the cooking you'll be doing. Do not put gravel up to the bottom of the zento or x series. You need an air gap on the bottom to let the air circulate into the double wall of the firepit to get the best smokeless experience. More on reddit.com

FYI, pulled the trigger on a X24 with insert ring and lid, Breeo does still sell the zentro but the x24 offers the ability to be portable if I ever needed it in the future and all the accessories seem to be for the X series. I’m currently in the process of building out a patio and the plan is to include a fire pit with a Breeo insert. When looking at options, it seems like the X Series pit can be inserted into the stone facade. My contractor recommended a Zentro as he can get one at a discount. They seem to be very similar but I can’t find a comparison. Does anyone know what the difference is?

If you won't ever need to have a free-standing fire pit (x-series) I think I'd go with a discounted Zentro. For your purposes you'll never know the difference.
